Leonardo opened the car door, and Sofia got in the back seat. He quickly followed her, and Mark closed the door and sat in the front passenger seat. Leonardo turned to Sofia with a softer expression on his face.

"How are you feeling? Are... you ok?" He asked, looking into Sofia's eyes. Sofia couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort as she gazed into his kind and caring gaze. His eyes were the most beautiful she had seen since her mother's.

Sofia's voice trembled as she managed to gather the courage to ask him the question that had been gnawing at her mind. "What... What just happened?"

In a calm yet grave tone, he replied, "Sofia, there was a shot. Someone has targeted you."

The words hit her like a ton of bricks, and her eyes widened in shock and disbelief. She had never imagined that the things she had only heard about in movies and books could actually happen to her.

Leonardo's stern gaze remained fixed on Sofia's face as he assured her, "Rest assured, you have no need to worry

Cristiano paced the hospital corridor, jaw locked, phone pressed tightly to his ear. The doctor had already examined Siena. The diagnosis was simple—shock, trauma, nothing life-threatening. She would wake up soon. The information eased him only a little; his pulse was still a wild, restless drum in his chest. On the line, Hunter’s voice trembled with panic.“Cris—what the hell were you thinking?! You shot Gino! If the Famiglia finds out, they’ll question everything. They’ll dig into Siena. They’ll dig into you. You could lose the throne—hell, they could execute both of you!”Cristiano rubbed a hand down his face, exhausted and furious.“I don’t give a damn about the Famiglia,” he muttered. “I had no choice. He had a gun on her.”“This is bad,” Hunter whispered. “They’re going to call for a vote… Vittorio will twist it against you—”Footsteps thundered across the hall.Cristiano looked up.His father was striding toward him like a storm—eyes burning, jaw tight with murderous rage.Cr

Gino stopped the car in a deserted place Siena had never seen or even heard of. She stepped out slowly, confusion knotting in her stomach. The area was dim, isolated… far too quiet.“Why are we here?” she asked, looking around. “Cristiano isn’t anywhere. You said you’d show me his reality.”Gino didn’t answer at first. He simply smirked—crooked, wrong, chilling. Something in that smile made Siena’s skin crawl.“You seem to be in a hurry, sister-in-law,” he said slowly, taking a step back, hands slipping into his pockets as if he were enjoying her confusion.Siena frowned, uneasy. Her eyes scanned the warehouse—until the hair on her arms stood up.From the shadows, four men emerged… one from each corner. Broad shoulders. Hard eyes. No warmth. No welcome. Her breath hitched. “Gino…” she whispered, her voice trembling, “what’s going on?”Gino’s smirk widened, sharpening into something cold and cruel. “Oh, Siena,” he murmured—almost pitying, almost amused. “Did you really think you were s

Cristiano slumped into an old, worn chair, the wood creaking beneath him as he pressed his palms into his forehead. His chest felt tight—too tight. He had always known this day would come. And yet… he still let himself fall for her.He should have stopped himself. He shouldn’t have let her slip past the iron walls around his heart—shouldn’t have let her break them piece by piece.Because until this very moment, revenge was the only thing he had ever lived for.He exhaled shakily. It all started twenty years ago, when Cristiano’s grandfather ruled the famiglia as the kingpin of the Italian Mafia.Vittorio’s sister—young, naïve, and deeply protected—had fallen in love with a Bratva man. But it wasn’t love. It was a trap. She was lured away from her security, and the long-standing rivalry between the Russians and Italians exploded into something far more vicious. The Italian famiglia believed the Russian Pakhan, Nikolai Baranov, had abducted the Italian don’s daughter, raped her, and

Vittorio’s eyes swept over the table before landing briefly on his son. Cristiano didn’t move, but the tension in his shoulders was unmistakable.“We’re all here for important news,” Vittorio announced. A heavy silence fell—sharp enough to cut through bone. Cristiano could hear the thud of his own heartbeat echoing in his ears.“As you all know, that Russian bastard’s daughter has been hiding somewhere in our territory. No one has found her yet…” Vittorio paused, letting the room lean in. “But I finally got a hint. A very promising one.”Cristiano kept his expression carved from ice, but his eyes burned. Whatever his father was planning, this wasn’t the time or place. Not with every shark at this table waiting for blood.Vittorio’s gaze brushed over him again—searching, evaluating—but Cristiano remained still. Outside, cold. Inside, a storm.“Tell us,” a voice barked from the far end of the table. Vittorio smirked.Another voice rose, harsher, fueled by old wounds. “We need vengeanc

After her lectures ended, Siena said goodbye to her friends and headed toward the parking lot. But she froze when she saw Gino standing there, waiting. She ignored him and walked past, but he grabbed her arm.“Siena, listen to me—”“Don’t touch me,” she snapped, yanking her hand away, fury flashing in her eyes.He raised both hands in surrender just as her bodyguards stepped in, moving closer.“Guys, I’m her brother-in-law,” he reminded them. The guards looked at Siena for instruction, and she gave a small nod. They stepped back, reluctantly.“Siena… I know you must be angry about what happened this morning,” Gino said, following her as she walked. She didn’t slow down.“Grandmother is always like this, and I’m sorry,” he added, but when she didn’t even look at him, he sighed. “Siena, please listen to me first. This is very important.”She kept walking.“It’s about your husband,” he raised his voice slightly. That made Siena stop. She turned, eyes sharp. “Don’t drag my husband into yo

Siena was still sobbing when they stepped into their room. The moment the door closed, she cupped Cristiano’s face in both hands and covered him with frantic kisses—his cheeks, his jaw, his forehead—anywhere she could reach.Cristiano couldn’t help but smile softly at her, touched by how much she loved him.“Oh God, Cris… you must be in so much pain,” she whispered, voice trembling as she reached for his shirt, fingers fumbling with the buttons. But Cristiano caught her hand gently. “I’m fine.”“No—let me see,” she insisted, tears pooling in her eyes, lips trembling. He couldn’t refuse her like that.Slowly, carefully, she slid the white shirt off his shoulders. The moment the fabric fell away, she gasped. Angry red marks covered his pale skin, and in some places the blood had already seeped through where his skin had torn.“Oh God… why did you have to jump in the middle like that?” she cried, more tears spilling down.“It’s nothing, doll. Doesn’t hurt at all,” he said, trying to reas
