Thank you for reading, please do leave me a review and a gem.
ASHLEY… My knuckles whitened as a cold chill washed over me then I felt a small bead of sweat drop down my face and ran down my neck. "Your silence is killing me, aren't you upset with me?" I asked with my arms crossed over my chest and Dante gazed down at me with a strange expression. I tried to pull away from him but I was unable to move as he pressed his body against mine and I felt my pulse quicken. He pulled me close in an embrace, his warm lips against mine in response to our silent query. Tears welled up in my eyes but I was unable to cry and also unable to realise any attachment to the moment we shared together as I let them stream down my cheeks. Dante cupped my face in his hands, making me whip my head behind and he stared open eyed and blankly at me as a kind of peacefulness overcame me. "I'm not upset with you and please don't do this, I hate seeing tears in your eyes" he stated and I swallowed hard when he used his thumb to stroke my tears away from my cheek. "You s
DANTE…The sound of thunder was muffled by the heavy rain and distant mumbling.I sat down on the chair with my legs crossed apart and my elbow placed on my lap with a cold and demeaning expression flickered on my face.My men brought in someone forcefully with a sack which covered his whole body as he let out a pitiful groan. They flung the body towards me and I raised my hand in the air as they all dismissed from my sight and slammed the door behind them.I hauled to my feet and I smiled as I grabbed his neck in my hand and gave him a little squeeze. He kept on struggling to get out of the sack and that alone was irritating and I groaned in frustration, feeling drunk on my rage.I untied the sack and pulled it off it's body as David glared at me, his expression was smug and I could see the anger in his eyes.He stood up and stepped closer to me as he raised his hand to punch me but I was an expert when it came to martial arts and before his punch could land on me, I dodged and grabb
ASHLEY… I had been trying to call Dante's number but it rang multiple times without him picking up. I was left wondering about his whereabouts because he didn't divulge anything to me while leaving. I tried his number one more time but it was switched off, tapping my feet on the floor I realised I shouldn't be too worried about him. Dante Garvino is a mafian boss and he could always protect himself even without safety measures. My stomach rumbled and I rubbed it gently while pushing my chair behind and standing up then I made my way to the kitchen. Looking at the empty kitchen, I sighed in disbelief. Of course I wasn't expecting to see a stacked up kitchen with different groceries to choose from. Racheal wasn't the type to cook, she couldn't even cook a meal without it getting burnt. She finally gave up on cooking and began to order meals online. Squinting my eyes and tapping a finger on the side of my head, I whistled and brought out a knife to chop some salad. I was just go
ASHLEY… "No more shedding of tears, I'm aware your heart is so big that you can accommodate everyone, including the one that hurt you deeply" Rachel said, consoling me. "I tried to run away from my horrible childhood but at the end of the day, the man lying unconscious is still my dad, his blood runs through my veins" I sobbed uncontrollably "So what have you decided on? I promise I'll support every decision of yours" Racheal stated, dragging a stool beside me and she gestured for me to sit down. "I'll let him stay here till he recovers and I'll also take care of him but once he's able to stand up on his own feet I'll just send him away" "It must be a tough decision right? but hopefully with time I believe your decision will change" Rachel voiced out, placing a hand on my shoulder and squeezed it lightly as I glanced up at her and faked a smile. "He needs a room to stay in so I'll just tidy up the storeroom and change it into a comfortable bedroom before he regains consciousness"
ASHLEY…Half way through reading the novel I got to find out it had a sequel to it, it wasn't completed yet.I grabbed Racheal's laptop, putting in her password as I began to search for the author of "His master and her submissive" but I only found the author's name which is dark Ink but there aren't any pictures on social media.I also checked on the day the new sequel will be released but nothing was found, the author hadn't disclosed anything.Scrolling down, I noticed they were so many comments and I guessed I wasn't the only one who was drawn to it.It felt like the author of the novel poured his or heart into writing each and every chapter.I had decided to read five more chapters and call it a wrap for the day so I could go get the medications the doctor prescribed for dad but with every glance, things got mysterious and I kept on flipping more pages.I sucked in a deep breath and gritted my teeth in frustration when my phone vibrated.Picking it up, I looked at the caller and
ASHLEY… I would admit seeing Dante made me feel elated, I just had to push more buttons so he could finally confess his feelings for me. I checked on dad but he had gone back to sleep then I saw a paper on the table in the living room. I grabbed it and opened it to read it's contents, it was a message from Racheal stating she stepped out but would be back before night fall. I squeezed the paper and threw it into the wastebin then I arranged the groceries properly into the kitchen. Placing dad's medications on the table, my hands went to my neck as I stretched my body due to the tiredness I felt but then I was left utterly stunned. I couldn't feel the pendant on my neck anymore, I refused to believe I had been so careless to lose it as I scoffed in disbelief. I quickly scurried towards the mirror and unfortunately the pendant wasn't on my neck anymore. "Damn it!" I swore, plopping myself onto the sofa with my knees raised to my chest and my hands covering my face. I didn't und
ASHLEY… I didn't want him to realise I had begun to suspect him because of his strange actions which I discovered to be very disturbing. If he was here to harm me in any way I had to behave normal so he wouldn't get a hint of an idea. "I missed my way to the restroom and I was also about to come and inform you but luckily you showed up, so please can you lead me to the restroom?" he queried and I nodded in approval but with a disturbed look, directing him to the restroom and I returned back to the living room. Some minutes later he joined me and I dragged the table to his side, handing over the glass of juice to him which he collected and slowly sipped on it, letting it go down his throat. "I'm sorry my house feels so hot, there isn't any electricity" I said in a low voice. "You need to stop apologising to me over the smallest issues and the next time I'm here again it wouldn't be as hot as this" he said and my eyes widened at the words he spewed out from his mouth. "What do yo
ASHLEY… I heared a loud noise outside and I quickly scurried to unlock the door, peeping through to see if anyone was standing outside but no one was there. I guessed it was my imagination, I had just finished preparing a meal for my dad as he ate it all up and with that he took his medicines and not too long he drifted off into unconsciousness. I slammed the door shut, gasping for breath and leaning against the door. I was tired from the activities and I knew I needed rest for sometime before Racheal comes back otherwise I might never get to close my eyes while staying up late to listen to her unending stories. My foot kicked against something light and I glanced down on the floor to see an envelope, picking it up I flipped it over with different thoughts in my head. "Where did this come from?" I muttered under my breath but I guess I was thinking too much and I dropped the envelope on the counter. I was about to walk into my room when I paused in my steps, looking at the enve
