Chapter Sixty Eight moving on

TWO DAYS LATER

"Slowly…, take it gently and...alright,". Leniela settled Amalia cautiously on the seat with a smile.

"You don't have to treat me like a kid you know, I'm fine already even the Doctor said so. What's left is to get this thing off my arm". Amalia gestured to the armrest with a frown.

They had just returned from a checkup at the hospital. Amalia had woken the next day in the morning after her operation. The mother and daughter cried in each other's arms , happy to see that they were still alive and together.

Leniela had wept and asked for forgiveness and promised never to leave her again. Amalia on her part, welcomed her with open arms and narrated how Rocco's men barged into the house and drugged her and the next thing she knew was her passing out.

Leniela wiggled her head in amusement as she went back inside the kitchen.

"I don't think that's what the Doctor said Mom. Stop being stubborn". She scolded.

"You weren't there when he said it". Amalia argued.
