Chapter 14 - Playing Cupid

"To take care of you, dear!" Asha answered her and Neha frowned in confusion!

"Why? I thought Piya would take me to her house! Why did she allow him to take me? We don't even know each other properly!" Neha asked, frowning deeper.

"Well, Piya ma'am got scared of your other self and she couldn't risk staying beside you in her pregnancy so she asked for Sir's help and Sir agreed to keep you with him happily! Sir is so happy to have you beside him!" Rishabh answered her after entering the room and he hardly stopped himself not to laugh in front of her as he was talking a little much about Rudra in front of her intentionally.

"I don't want to be a burden on anyone and now this condition has snatched my friend too!" Neha started crying and Rishabh and Asha knew she was about to become sad again so they started panicking in fear!

"What happened?" Neha asked them cutely wiping her tears and runny nose.

"Ma'am, do you want ice cream?" Rishabh asked with a terrified face as he didn't want to get killed by her other self so he decided to use the tricks he read in a book called, "Thousands of tricks to make a girl happy".

"Which flavour?" Neha's this question made the mother-son duo sigh in relief while Neha was looking at them like an innocent baby, sobbing and sniffing!

"Any flavour you want! The kitchen is a mini grocery shop! BTW, a short tip for you, Sir loves the butterscotch flavour!" Rishabh informed her while playing Cupid in their story and Neha acted confused.

"Oh-kay but why are you telling me that? I like Vanilla only, so bring me that!" Neha replied and Rishabh started coughing as he just made a fool of Rudra as he thought, Neha will like that flavour as she likes him, doesn't she?

"Okay, as you wish!" Rishabh answered her, smiling.

"BTW, where is he?" Neha asked, looking away from them, scratching her forehead in nervousness and the mother-son duo shook hands happily without her watching!

"Sir has gone to the mansion to bring his stuff in here! He will be here any minute and he will see you after that!" Rishabh replied like a robot, trying not to smile!

"No... no... no... he doesn't have to see me!" Neha denied it, acting shy and embarrassed.

Shittttt! I had ruined his expensive suit! Now, how will I repay him if he asks for money? Neha thought, remembering what she did in her fake anger.

I would prove to everyone that you are a pervert businessman, see what I do with your reputation, Neha thought, making her evil plan.

"What happened, dear? Why don't you want to see him?" Asha asked and Neha shook her head in denial as she didn't want to see him, feeling scared of his wrath.

"It's okay, he will see you whenever you are comfortable! Rest assured!" Rishabh sensed her discomfort and left the room to bring ice cream from her.

"Why don't you take a bath, dear? Till then, I should go to prepare for lunch!" Asha suggested and Neha nodded obediently as she thought, she shouldn't show tantrums in someone else's house.

Asha went downstairs and started cooking while Rishabh was helping her. Upstairs, Neha looked at her attire and facepalmed herself as she isn't used to wearing such bold outfits or wearing bold makeup.

She needed to get rid of all of this so that she could feel normal again! She went inside the lavish bathroom while trying not to touch anything as she can't take the risk of bringing more damage to him.

She looked at the bathtub and decided to use it as she had never done before! She filled the bathtub with water and added shower gel to get bubbles!

She smiled looking at the bubbles and stripped naked from her clothes. She dipped her body into the bathtub and sighed in relief, feeling her body relax into the water!

Rudra came back to the penthouse with his stuff in a suitcase. A housekeeper took the suitcase from him to keep it in his bedroom.

He sat down on the couch and Rishabh stood beside him silently. A few minutes passed and Rudra was constantly looking towards the stairs like waiting for someone so Rishabh was trying to read his face as he knows very well that his boss isn't a person who is used to talking much and expressing his feelings!

"Ma'am is taking a bath!" Rishabh answered what Rudra's heart was thinking and he instantly snapped his eyes towards him.

"Did I ask you?" Rudra asked glaring towards him, making him gulp.

"I thought-" Rishabh was cut off instantly.

"Aren't you thinking too much recently? Looks like I am giving you less work or why would you be able to think about anything else? Did you complete the work I gave you?" Rudra asked, coming in his boss mode and Rishabh pouted at him seeing his cruelty!

God, quickly make Sir and Ma'am fall in love with each other so that Sir turns into a human from a robot who only knows how to work and also makes me work so much! At least, pity this poor soul, Rishabh prayed for them while crying in his mind.

"It will be done in an hour, Sir!" Rishabh announced, saluting him dramatically before literally running towards the office room as he didn't even start the task given by Rudra as he was busy thinking like a Cupid.

"I should go and take a bath too!" Rudra murmured to himself, getting up from the couch and going upstairs towards his bedroom.

He was about to go past Neha's room as his bedroom was at the other corner of the corridor but he stopped in his tracks when he heard her scream which was audible enough to hear from outside the bedroom. He quickly dashed into the room and his eyes fell on the bathroom door.

Inside the bathroom, Neha had slipped on the floor because of bubble water while her body was wrapped in only a towel. She held her ankle as it was paining as it got sprained.

She heard footsteps sounds so she looked up to see Rudra rushing inside the bathroom while breathing heavily!
