Victoria woke up that morning feeling incredibly strange. She realized that both her dress and her bed sheets had been changed. She didn’t realize any of those things happening and why would anyone do that?

She also felt like she was sleeping a lot deeper that night. Amid her confusion, there was a knock on her door and it was opened. Darius stepped inside the room with a tray of tea, water and some light condiment.

“Good morning, madame. I have brought some refreshment for you since you’ve been through a lot yesterday. I think you may want to take these first.” He suggested. It wasn’t something he would normally do so she wondered why Darius was suddenly acting that way.

“Thank you, Darius. However, I have a question for you.” She stated after she drank water. It’s important to stay hydrated.

“Why is my clothes and bed sheet different from last night? Did you change it?” She asked him. Darius never wanted to lie to her so he ad

You can just make up all sort of excuse to not see him. That man isn’t good for you, Madame.” He said in almost a pleading tone.“I’ve made my promise and I need to do what I can to fulfill it.” She hated lying and would try to avoid it on as many chances as possible. As much as she didn’t want to admit it, she had to fulfill her promise. She picked up her phone and called Ian. The man picked up within seconds. He must be expecting her as well. His husky voice was heard from the other side of the line.“I knew you would call me. I have made a reservation at your favorite restaurant. Deep down, he knew that there had to be a reason why they were beaten up like that and it was most likely their fault. However, they were still his children.“It’s Octavian, he attacked us.” Cedric replied.“And what exactly did you do to him again this time?” Charles asked with fury in his eyes. Catherine didn’t want to be blamed by it, she gave a puppy stare to her brother and Cedric immediately spoke on her behalf.“It was my idea. There is this wom

Victoria isn’t in her best state right now. I suggest you leave.” This time, Darius’ response was different. It wasn’t derived from a state of envy or jealousy. He also wasn’t acting defensive at all. It looked like this time there was a different reason and Ian quickly picked up on it.“What’s wrong? Is she fine?” He asked.

The best thing she could do at the moment was to figure out the person who did this to him and in order to do that, she needed Ian’s help.“Ian, do you love me?” She asked. He was slightly startled by the question but then he nodded and answered directly.“Yes, I genuinely love you, Victoria.” He paused for a moment before continuing.“Listen, Victoria.
