78. Go Away

Sofia's POV

I groaned out of my sleep and blinked my eyes open to see the blurred image of the white ceiling above me.

For a moment, I was motionless and only my mind worked to remind me of how I ended up here.

Wait a minute... Where am I?

The last thing I remembered was opening my eyes to hear someone in a white coat speaking and my consciousness took in again.

But before then, I remember... I remember the pain in my head after realizing Mr. Pompous had abandoned me and left without me.

The creaking noise of the door drew my attention and I turned to see Mia entering the room with her eyes on me.

"Hey, you're awake. Just lay back, the doctor would be here soon" She sat beside me on the bed and placed my palm on my forehead to measure my temperature.

"Where... Where am I?" The word 'Doctor' had triggered the question out of my lips and she responded almost immediately.

"The company's health care unit. You passed out but you're fine now. There is no cause for alarm" Mia forced a smile
