Another Attack IV

Two hours and a few minutes later, I am at the doorstep of my former house. The street was much quieter than usual. Even Storm’s house was too eerily calm.

It was like a zombie town at day time. There was nothing in sight. What had happened in just two days that I was away from here? Did the plague occur? I wondered, tuning the knob of the front door.

There was a creak sound before it opened up. I walked in slowly into the house, my eyes running a marathon tro and fro, to every corner of the sitting room. There was no life in sight.

Where was the caller? Where was Liam? Where was his mate, Kim? Taking a slower look around and seeing nothing significant, I decided to check out the rooms in the lower level before walking upstairs.

I thought of calling the man then, but I changed my mind, deciding to choose the element of surprise even though I doubted that my coming was a surprise.
