Mia’s pov

As soon as the car pulled up at the house, I hastily alighted it with all my intent being fleeing away and hiding in my room till I recovered from what had been the best three seconds of my life. I was about to take the first stair leading upstairs when a hold settled on my wrist, causing me to freeze up because I knew even without having to turn around, that it was Lorenzo.

The sound of me gulping could definitely be heard outside from how loud it sounded as I slowly turned around till I was staring up at Lorenzo. I was in a pair of sneakers this time which left a lot of height difference between us this way. Right now, he towered over me even more, and whereas I was supposed to be scared shitless right now, all that was going through my mind right now was that three seconds kiss which took place about thirty minutes ago in his car.
