When I got home, my phone rang. It was Marco.

"Yes?" I hoped that he called to tell me that he found the heir to Aldo's properties.

The guy had no children, according to our knowledge.

But he had to have someone that he entrusted all his wealth to.

He had nephews and nieces from his brothers and sisters, even though he barely had time to spend with them because of safety reasons.

He did not want to let them into his world as a way to protect them. But he was a helping hand to them from afar.

He had a good heart and would not allow his family to suffer while he was able to help and had the means to.

"I just got off the call with Matteo. He was hit on the road home."

"He was hit? Now?" I asked in total shock.

Things were getting too serious, and whoever was out to get us was not ready to back down until we were ready to face him head-on.

"Matteo was driving, and Lorenzo was in the backseat. I sent people to get them and take them to the hospital," Marco answered
