I watched Katarina from across the room and smiled. Everyone simply adored her. She held the attention of all she came in contact with and more importantly, mine. I was aware of her every moment. Her smile brightened up the room as she went from one table to the other making sure to connect with each and every person. I stood at the bar with my father discussing the latest news of Javier and her mother, as well as Veronica.I was told that Veronica was taken to a safe house and Mateo had placed surveillance around the clock to ensure her safety. Javier was visited by my uncle and he told him that he will not protect him. I heard Javier bawled like a fucking baby. As soon as I get back I plan on paying my cousin a visit. Of course I’m letting him sit on purpose that way he’s on a constant edge not knowing when his time is up. It’s torture.
