Chapter 06: Two worlds.

Next Morning.

Aaron is wearing a coat while standing in front of the mirror. The white and black combination colours suit him so well.

He looks professional and handsome as well.

 

  "Aaron." Peter knocks on the door. 

 

   "Come in," Aaron said while fixing his tie.

 

   "Doctors have arrived. It's time to start the interview." Peter said.

 

  "Where is Damon?" Aaron turns to Peter.

 

   "He is in the room." Peter replied.

 

   "Okay, let them wait for some time." Aaron said fixing his buttons

 

   "Are you sure?" Peter questioned him back.

 

   "Yes, today I’ll not take a CEO-style interview; rather I will take the interview as a father of my son." He looks at himself in the mirror

     "I want to choose the best doctor for my son. So, I don't want to take any risk, you got me?" Aaron winks at peter and puts on goggles.

 

   "Hmm ok, I'll go and tell the doctors to wait."

 

  "Hey, while coming back, bring my breakfast, don't forget my cold drink." 

 

   "You made me a servant, didn't you?" Peter gritted his teeth while showing all his white teeth 

 

   "Huh, by chance now you are regretting that. That’s why you joined my business." He smiled devilishly.

 

   "I will tell you the answer to your question after I take leave from this position." Peter makes a puppy angry face and walks out.

 

Aaron chuckles softly.

He is Peter, he is not only his bodyguard but also his best friend. They studied together at the same school and university.

 

Aaron comes back to his cold looks and walks ahead while placing his hand in his jeans pocket.

 

He reaches the CC footage room and occupies his seat on the chair, dragging it back. 

 

   "Good morning, Aaron, sir." The CC footage worker wishes Aaron well.

 

   "Good morning! I’ll stay here for some time. You're dismissed! " Aaron ordered.

 

   "Okay, sir." A worker walks out of the room on Aaron's single order 

 

Aaron plays the waiting room CC footage where all the doctors are sitting together and waiting for Aaron.

 

Peter enters the waiting room.

 

   "Hey, doctors, sorry for making you wait, but the interview is delayed for some time. So, you will have to stay here for some more time." Peter announced the Aaron's decision

 

   "What, you can't be serious?" One of the doctors screamed in anger.

 

   "We have waited one hour so far. You know who I am. I’m one of the top 5 doctors in Italy and I have 10+ experience in the field." 

 

   "Mr Henry, I know you are senior in this position, but I’m telling you again, if you don’t like to wait, then you can leave." Peter's single reply made everyone shut their mouth.

 

On the other hand, Aaron takes the book and cuts Doctor Henry's name from the list.

 

Peter comes back to Aaron and places Aaron's breakfast on the table.

 

    "Aaron, they are all impatient." Peter flushed.

 

   "Sit and enjoy the show." Aaron takes a sandwich and eats it while chewing it. 

 

Peter sits in the chair in frustration and watches the footage with Aaron.

The doctors are really impatient. They start gossiping with each other.

 

   "Who do you think Salvatore will choose from among us?" One of the doctors asked everybody who came for an interview.

 

   "He chooses the best of us." One of the doctors replied.

 

   "We are all one of the top 10 doctors in Italy, he has no other choice than to choose us." The senior doctor showed his mercy

 

"I came here just because he is paying double what our hospital is paying." While drinking the beverage, another doctor said

 

Aaron looks at the person who talked about the salary and payment.

   "What is his name?" Aaron asked.

 

     "Doctor Bryan." Peter revealed the name.

 

   "Doctor Bryan." Aaron crosses his name with the pen in the book.

 

   "Woah, you already rejected the two people." Peter's jaw drops as he sees the record.

 

Aaron smirked.

 

   "Now I understand your interview style." Peter laughed.

 

   "Stop laughing and concentrate on the footage." Aaron sounds serious

 

   "Okay, boss." Peter becomes serious and watches the footage with Aaron.

 

 

    "You all have come only for the salary. What about the patient?" One of the doctors asked

 

   "His name is Hardik. Compared to others, he has less experience, but he has had success with his talent in just a few years." Peter said about the doctor who has concerned.

 

Aaron shook his head, looking at Hardik in the video.

   "Hey, you! You have just come into this field, but we all have a lot more experience than you."

   "Young doctors like you only work hard to gain a higher position, but our senior doctors think about benefits along with our careers. " Henry replied with a lot of attitude

 

  "Well said, senior." Doctor Bryan chuckled

  "With our talent, we’ll save the patient's life, no doubt, but what will be the use if we give treatment to low-class families? What benefit will we get? Nothing. We also have families; how can we give them a good future? " Another senior doctor interfered

 

   "But senior, our government is providing a good salary for us. If a patient doesn’t have money, we can’t leave them on the death line, Right?" Hardik questioned

 

   "Hey you, punk! Now you juniors are questioning our seniors. " Doctor Henry was furious in anger.

 

   "No seriously, I’m not meaning to question you."

 

   "Shut up, low-income families and beggar patients suit young doctors like you but not renowned physicians like us." Henry grabs his collar in anger and frustration.

  "We have a lot of experience in this field and we have seen different types of patients, so don't try to judge us again." Henry screams at Hardik.

 

    "What nonsense! Samantha is a better doctor than these senior doctors; she can even give life to her patients." Peter turns his face when he doesn't get any response from Aaron. 

 

Aaron was staring at him in anger. Peter understood and chuckled while trying to change the subject.

 

    "How dare you to mention that nuisance doctor in front of me." Aaron grabs Peter's collar.

 

  "Hehe, I’m telling the truth." Peter flushed.

 

    "Shut up. If you again take the name of that female doctor in front of me, I’ll fire you, punk." Peter shakes his head "Okay"

 

   "I’m done." Aaron stands and walks out.

 

   "Huh, why is Aaron so pissed off with Dr Samantha?" Peter shrugs his shoulders

   "She is such a cute girl." While shaking his head, Peter follows after Aaron.

 

All the doctors stand up and wish him well as Aaron enters the room

 

      "Good morning, Mr Salvatore." Henry extended his hand to handshake Aaron, but Aaron put his hand in his jeans pocket instead of handshaking with Henry. Lol.

 

   "Okay." Henry lowers his hand while holding his embarrassment.

 

   "My name is Henry and I’m a senior doctor. I have 10+ years of experience." Henry introduced himself, but Aaron didn't give him any shit.

 

  "Doctors, you all can leave, except doctor Hardik," Peter said, taking the initiative.

 

Everyone looks at Hardik, who was shocked.

 

   "Why only Hardik?" One of the senior doctors asked

 

   "Congratulations, Dr Hardik, you are selected."

Everyone's jaw drops as they hear Aaron's declaration.

 

   "What?" Hardik's eyes widen, and he slowly shakes his head with Aaron.

 

   "What nonsense!" Henry screams.

 

   "Why have you selected him when we are all senior doctors here?” Henry questioned him.

 

    "Now you are questioning me?" Aaron's husky voice, losing every doctor's confidence.

 

   "I mean when you didn't take the interview, then how did you choose Hardik? Henry lower his tone and asked again

 

    "Who said I didn't take the interview?" Aaron smirked.

 

  "What do you mean?" Henry rolled his eyes in confusion

 

  "Look at your surroundings. There are cameras installed in every corner." Aaron shows them.

 

  "Did he listen to our conversation secretly?" One of the doctors whispered in Henry's ear.

 

   "I don't need to do anything secretly; this house is Salvatore Mansion." Aaron screams, and with every word, the echoes grow. 

 

   "I’m investing a lot of money in you guys, so it is my responsibility to inquire about you. 

  "You are not capable of my status."

 

   "Are you kidding me? If we are not capable, then who?" Bryan screamed.

 

   "How are you capable? When you give more importance to the money than to the patient?" Aaron's single confession made Bryan shut his mouth.

 

The doctors looked at each other. They understood, Aaron listened to their conversation.

 

    "I don't want a doctor who doesn't have patience." Aaron looks at the doctors. 

 

   "I don't want doctors who make comparisons between rich and poor patients."

 

    "I, Aaron Salvatore, declare that I hired doctor Hardik for my son's treatment and the rest of you, thank you so much for participating. You can take leave now from here." Aaron shows them a path outside.

 

   "Mr Salvatore, you will regret it." Henry was furious in anger.

 

   "No need to alert me, Doctor. I can take care of myself, for now, all of you leave." Aaron glared at him.

 

   "Mr Salvatore!" Henry screams.

 

   "Bodyguards throw them out." Aaron screams.

 

In the next second bodyguards comes inside and grab every doctor by their arm except doctor Hardik

 

   "Come out." Bodyguards start to drag them out.

 

   "Hey, punk, you know who I am?" Henry screams.

 

  "Hey, you! get off your bloody hands on me." Bryan screams.

 

Bodyguards don't listen, so they drag them out.

 

   "Totally trash." Aaron rolled his eyes.

 

   "Mr Salvatore, are you sure?" Hardik asked him shyly.

 

    "Why don't you have confidence in yourself? If you don't have confidence in yourself, you can leave too."

 

   "I don't mean that, you rejected all of my seniors and chose me, so I was taken aback.

 

    "I don’t want a senior and experienced one, but I want a good doctor who can take care of my son, and I heard you, you care for your patient more than anything."

    

   "Thank you, sir. I’ll give my best."

 

Aaron simply smiles.

 

   "Peter,  make a call letter on the name of doctor Hardik,  and I want Hardik to join this week."

 

   "I got you," Peter replied.

 

  "Let's go. I’ll meet you, my son." 

 

   "Sure, sir." Hardik followed after Aaron.

 

However, when he reaches Damon's room, he hears some sounds inside the room.

 

   "What the heck?" Aaron goes inside the room.

 

   "Damon?" Aaron screams his name, and his eyes widened.

Samantha is walking down the stairs. She is sad because she misses Damon a lot.

 

Yes, she only met him once, but in the first meeting, she felt a strange connection with Damon, but why she doesn’t know.

 

   "Damon, how are you, baby?" She asked herself about Damon

 

    "Have you had your breakfast? Your dad is taking good care of you, right." Samantha grabs her head in frustration.

 

   "Ahh, I shouldn't let Damon stay with Aaron, I agree Damon is his son, but that bloody arrogant CEO doesn't care about my little baby."

 

  "Hey, idiot." Lilly catches her behind.

 

  "Are you deaf?"  Still, Samantha doesn't react.

 

   "Hey." Lilly shakes her while grabbing her shoulders.

 

   "Ahh." Samantha comes to her senses.

 

   "Are you crazy? Why are you shaking me? Let me go." Samantha pushes her back.

 

   "How long have I been calling you, can't you hear me?" Lilly is furious in anger as Samantha hasn't responded her

 

    "Ahh sorry, I was thinking about Damon."

 

   "Again, Damon?" Lilly grabs her head.

 

    "What’s the reaction for?" Samantha stares at her in anger.

 

   "Damon, Damon, Damon. I’m done with you, man. What’s your relationship with him? " Lilly questioned her

 

   "Do you know him personally?" She raised her eyebrow and becomes serious on the matter.

 

    "Stop questioning me because I don't have an answer to your questions. But I’ll tell you one thing for sure, I care about Damon, but why I don't know. "

 

   "When I hugged him, I felt like he was one of the family members."

Lilly looks at her in confession.

 

   "What are you saying?" Lilly asked her.

 

   "I don't know, I agree, we are from different worlds, but yet I feel a strange connection between Salvatore and me."

 

   "You only told me that, right? Aaron has refused to treat his son, Damon. So, no longer is Damon your patient and there is an end to your relationship either." Her harsh words make Samatha look at Lilly.

  "Sam, now just enough, stop worrying about him because you are never going to meet him again." Lilly grabbed her arm and said quiet while trying to make her understand the situation

 

   "No, I believe that I’ll meet Damon again in my life." Samantha smiles proudly.

 

But what is destiny? No one can say.

Samantha and Aaron are belongs to two different worlds, so how will their end up together is interesting to read
