"Have you given her the note?" Fabian asked, standing in his room.

"I passed it under her door, but waited till she came to pick it up," Mikel replied.

"Good," Fabian said and remained quiet.

The silence in the room was becoming unbearable, so Mikel had to talk, "Sir, I have never seen you this worried about a woman before. What's wrong?"

"I have no idea," Fabian replied calmly and sat on his bed.

"What's there about Loretta that's making you this uncomfortable? Just forget—"

"Don't make me send you out of this mansion," Fabian warned.

"I'm sorry, I must have crossed my boundaries. I just think we should be celebrating, not brooding."

"I am not brooding, Mikel. I'm thinking."

"We shouldn't be thinking, we should be having fun. We just got Delia out of the way."
