Fabian clenched his jaw and glared at Mikel knowing he did have a point. Tasha wasn't just going to disappear. He couldn't keep running from her, especially not after everything they'd shared. But at the same time, he couldn't afford to let her emotions or his detract him from what truly mattered at this point, which was finding Loretta.

Look," Mikel said, softening his tone, "I'm not trying to push your buttons. I just think if you're going to close that chapter with Tasha, at least do it right. She isn't the enemy here.

Fabian let out a deep sigh, pacing around his office and running his hand through his hair. "I know, I know. But I just can't deal with her now. Loretta's still missing and I am just so helpless here. I don't need anything or anyone clouding my judgment.

Mikel nodded, understanding. "I get that. But sometimes the things we avoid are the very things that end up clouding our judgment more. You can't just keep pushing everything aside. It'll come back to bite you."
