CHAPTER 1

Aurora’s Point of View

When we entered the room, a guy in a clean suit came into view. He placed a black case on the table and Sir's expression turned grim.

“What is this, Ms. Flare? Why didn't you inform me about this?” sir whispered.

“I'm sorry about that, sir. Your schedule is full and you were busy these past few days.”

He didn't speak after that. I could see the hesitations in his expression and I had to suppress my smiles. I slowly locked the door when he started walking near the guy. He sat on the opposite side and I stood behind him while looking at the guy opening the suitcase.

“I'm Mr. Smith’s representative and here's the payment for the guns”, the guy said.

He turned the suitcase and I saw thousands of paper bills. I adjusted my position, just beside my boss and saw his shocked expression while looking at the money, at the guy and me.

“Damn that oldman. I told him to give the money using the old way”, he mumbles and then he looks at me. “Ms. Flare, you can wait for me outside.

So you don't want me to see it? I muttered inside my head.

“Maybe you should also smuggle drugs and guns in the underground”, the guy suggested, provoking him that made me smirk.

“Shut your goddamn mouth“, he yelled while slamming the table. “Flame! I said get out of here!”

“Oh? You don't want your secretary to know your illegal activities, Mr. Sandro?”

All of a sudden, he pulled his gun out and pointed it at the guy, he didn't even think twice as he pulled the trigger. It hit the guy through his left chest and his eyes are wide open when he fell down on the couch

“I told you to shut your filthy mouth”, my boss said but sad to say, I am not working for him.

He couldn't even move a muscle when I pressed my gun at his head.

“W–What is the meaning of this, Flare?”, he asked, confused and trembling.

“Being your secretary doesn't suit me”, I said.

“W–Who the hell are you?”, he looked at me with horrified expressions as if he saw a ghost but little did he know that I am more than that, I am his nightmare.

I smile in return, “A mafia, Sir”

He tried to point his gun to me but I was faster. I already pulled the trigger and his own blood scattered on the floor as his body slumped on the couch.

I looked at the guy he killed and I looked at him. What he did just happened to him.

“And my name is not Flare”, I whispered before I put the guns in the strap on my legs.

I searched his dead body and I got the phone in his pocket where important numbers and messages can be found. I discovered it during my stay here as his secretary.

I fix my glass before I get out of his room like nothing has happened. I looked around and no one seems to notice that their boss is already bathing with his own blood. Thankfully, my gun has a silencer.

I walked to the fire exit and when I saw a dustbin, I removed my glass and my wig and I threw it.

“Next target”, I murmured wearing my devilish smile while the clank of my stilettos can be heard all over in this silent area.

I opened the car parked in the exit area and before I started the engine, I opened his phone. I already know his password, that Sandro is an idiot.

I opened the folders and I stopped when I saw all his transactions, all his illegal activities were written including the time, date, and place. Smuggling guns and drugs and even corruption.

This guy is one hell out of a bastard. Before I started the engine, I uploaded the files and I made sure that I had a copy of them. I threw his phone on the passenger seat after I saw the files uploaded successfully.

Later, the media will be informed and it will be fun. I was wearing my seatbelt but I stopped when I saw the tablet blink. Why is he calling me at this hour?

I answered the call, confused as fvck. The face of the most ruthless person in this world came into view. What now?

“Abort your mission and go back to the headquarters immediately”, his voice sent chills down my spine but I composed myself.

“What do you mean? Why should I abort this mission?”, I ask while frowning.

“I'll tell you when you reach my office”, he answered. As if it was final.

“But I have to investigate–” he instantly stopped me using his goddamn authoritative voice.

“Aurora '', he called my name and I knew how serious he was.

“Fine!”I answered and by that, the call ended. I shake my head, I suddenly shuddered when I heard my whole name in his mouth

“Tell me the reason”, I ask him straightforwardly when I reach his office inside our base.

“Oh dear, you're here!”, I looked at the woman behind me. She was holding a tray of fruits. She was smiling at me but I had no time for her motherly act.

I looked at the man in front of me, he was like a king sitting on his throne. I looked into his eyes as he was staring at me blankly. As always.

He opened the drawer and he threw the files on his table. Is that another mission? I take a step forward to see what it was all about.

I opened the paper and I saw someone's information. Kis Sandoval?

I look at him, confused. This guy is the son of his business partner. Don't tell me he was going to betray his most trusted partner? What a cruel bastard.

I stopped in the middle of turning the pages when I heard him speak.

“You are going to marry him”
