Still Prince Herod's POV

With my arm casually draped around my mate's shoulder, I strolled to Harad and Cissy's residence.

The atmosphere between us is relaxed, Eden was once again convinced of my love for her and the brief jealousy of Cissy had dissipated. We had talked extensively about our relationship and we were in a good place.

"Herod, you do realize the consequences of your little stunt today, don't you?" I heard her inquire beside me.

I exerted all my effort to suppress an emerging panic, I knew this topic was coming. Xin and Mathilde acted entirely on their own, whereas Eden's plans were different. To buy myself some time, I opted to play the fool, that was a much better strategy than defending myself.
