“Any idea why Eon is insisting on the mate bond between you?"

As soon as my mate posed this sly question, I became acutely aware and suspicious. He was up to something and before I am able to figure out what it, I must stall giving a definitive response.

At this moment, we are strolling through the Palace corridors hand in hand. We just had dinner with the whole family and now we are retiring to our quarters. Our interactions were lighthearted as Harad attempted to coax a confession out of me. But I know how to play this game like no other, my female intuition is much sharper than the Lycan male intrigues.

“Perhaps he wants to compete with my irresistible mate?” I conveyed this to him. “Or because I produce such exquisite pups?”

“Hmmm, that could be very possible, there is music in your options,” he pondered. “Eon has always coveted what is mine, this is the perfect chance for him to get revenge after losing out to me for so long.
