Chapter 6

The voice growled low but was heard by all the people that were there. Instantly, the man looked back, his eyes then caught up with the source of the voice that made everyone get goosebumps.

Not only him, but everyone who was there turned their heads towards them. Especially the figure of a Lycan who now stands towering behind a ma,n who previously looked tall, now smaller than the Lycan that was staring at him intently.

Lycan is the oldest mythical creature that lives on Earth. They are the purest form compared to their kindred creatures, werewolves. You could say they are the ancestors of the werewolf itself

A werewolf if it changes to its original form will be a very large wolf beast compared to an ordinary wild wolf. Stand with their four feet on the ground. Apart from their size, they are not much different from ordinary wolves.

As for Lycan, they will turn into a very tall and big monster. Half human, half animal. Their feet are like those of wolves but they will walk on two legs like humans. The stocky body full of muscles will be completely covered by dark hair. Their faces were a combination of human faces and wolf muzzles that sometimes would show rows of sharp fangs and teeth that could tear even the thickest and hardest flesh.

The werewolf from the Rogue pack suddenly froze when he saw the Lycan's black eyes staring at him sharply. His mouth was open but he didn't say anything.

"Get your hands off her. You have no right to touch what belongs to the Lycans!"

His low voice growled, warning was very visible in that tone, making everyone take a few steps back and even more tremble. Some of the girls who were already very weak fell to their knees.

The man gulped and backed away from where he was standing. Instantly lowered his head and continued to take out the girls.

"Our Alphas will not be pleased to see your careless treatment of what is already theirs. The consequence of their anger will be your lives."

The Lycan said firmly while looking at everyone in the area one by one. It was clear that he was one of the Lycans who introduced themselves as Beta Rio. The beta of the Blue Moon pack. He had already turned into his true form in the form of a Lycan when they arrived at the border of Blue Moon pack territory.

When hearing that, Alpha Ken's men couldn't help but obey. They don't really want to treat this lowly human being gently or properly. It felt inappropriate for them. However, they don't want to die at the hands of a Lycan. After all, they had also seen that the transaction between the Lycans and Alpha Ken had gone well. If they don't receive the rest of the money from this transaction, the choice is to die at the hands of Lycan or Alpha Ken himself.

One by one the poor, pale, trembling girls came out of the cage-shaped cell. Beta Rio watched them come out from that very inhumane place.

The poor girls looked so miserable. The clothes they wore were very thin, with only a cloth to cover their bodies. Some don't even cover all the body parts that need to be covered. They looked hungry and thirsty.

They had to be dropped off here. This is the territory of the Lycans. Deep into the forest, there will be a civilization inhabited only by people like them. Not like these werewolves, they don't deserve to go further into the forest. The Alphas also agree that no random living creatures are allowed to enter the Lycans' territory.

Rio knows the girls actually can't walk anymore. For that, he had told the Alphas through his mind link that they needed help to move these poor girls as quickly as possible.

Beta Rio tightened his jaw and clenched his fist. He was actually very sick of seeing this scene. But what can he do? This was the only way to save these girls. This is the third batch in the last five years. Alpha Ken is very cunning. They moved places when they had succeeded in selling all their slaves.

Rio let out a long exhale. If he was in human form, there would be a sad frown on his face looking at the girls. He was even sure that some of them had died on the way here.

Rio looked down at the girl who looked like she was still alive a moment ago before that bastard of a werewolf kicked her in the stomach. The girl was lying on the ground with chains on her hands and feet. He saw another girl limping over to the girl who was now lying on the ground.

"Lilly...." Rio could hear the girl sobbing very softly calling her friend. Lilly. That was the name of the girl that lying on the ground and Rio was sure she had already stopped breathing. 

That's right, all these girls must have names. The name given by their parents. With the hope that her daughter will live a decent life. But look at what those rouges did.

Rio looked at Lilly who was now being embraced by her friend. Her face was deathly pale, she also didn't look like she would wake up anymore.

"That's all. We're leaving. Give me the rest of the money." One of Alpha Ken's men told Rio. He lifted his face high trying to look brave. But Rio could see that his hands and legs were trembling.

Rio snorted loudly making the werewolf jump back, immediately cleared his throat in embarrassment when he realized what he did just to show what a coward he was.

"Take your money and get out of here," Rio said briefly. A man dressed in all dark came with a large suitcase and placed it on the ground. He was one of the Lycans. But he didn't change his form like Rio.

More than a dozen Lycans were accompanying this trip. Alpha Ken's men knew about it but they had a hard time seeing them apart from Beta Rio himself. Lycan is famous for its ability to hide and camouflage, contrary to its very intimidating form. But other creatures know if there is a Lycan around them. The aura will be cold instantly and bring goosebumps.

Alpha Ken's men quickly left from there. Brought along with them horses and cages which were now empty. There were a total of three cages that had brought these girls. Rio counted them all at sixty people. And all of them are poor young girls.

"Beta, are we going to wait here?" The man who had been carrying the suitcase asked Rio.

Rio nodded. While looking at the surroundings, then towards Lilly, the poor girl who most probably had died with her friend who was wailing sadly.

"Yes, the Alphas are already headed here with help. These girls… I don’t think they still can walk anymore." Rio replied.

Besides the exhaustion and hunger that were obvious on their face, Lilly and some girls were seen to be lying on the ground, lifeless. They need to check on them.

Those who were still alive stared fearfully at the figure of the Lycan standing in their midst.

"Tim." Rio called the man again.

"Yes, Beta Rio."

"Bring the others to our emergency shelter. Give them our remaining water or food supplies. And… For the other that lying unconscious, check for the pulse… If it’s not there anymore, lay them carefully on the other side. Count the rest and report it to me."

Rio’s voice sounded indifferent and cold. But in contrast, he was feeling uneasy about this situation. He wasn’t new to this mission, but seeing another living creature treated less than an animal never left him in a peaceful condition.

"Okay, Beta." Soon after that several men came out from behind the trees and approached the poor girls and offered them water to drink.

Rio saw them while patrolling around the place. The girls looked terrified as his men approached. But they accepted the water that was given to them because they were very thirsty.

"Lilly, wake up we have arrived..." Debby said softly. She rubbed Lilly's pale cold face. She still hugged her tight, afraid of losing her best friend.

"Poor girl, your friend is gone." Debby gasped when a man's voice sounded above her head.

She didn’t know if there was a man near her, except for the one that had already left her water a few minutes before. Now a tall handsome guy stands just in front of her, looking at her with a pair of beautiful intimidating black eyes. Her heart suddenly pounded so fast that she almost gasped loudly. She immediately lowered her eyes and didn’t dare to look back.

"Lilly's still alive." Debby with red eyes and pale lips answered. Her voice trembling as she hugged Lilly's head tightly.

Rio who had returned to his human form, let out a long breath and nodded.

"How about laying your friend down there? Soon a doctor will come, he will help us examine your friend." Rio said softly.

"Re-really? A doctor for Lilly?" The girl's light brown eyes twinkled looking at Rio expectantly. She seemed to forget that she was afraid of him a few seconds ago.

Rio smiled slightly, this girl, even though her appearance was ragged and dirty but it was obvious that she was very adorable.

Rio nodded. Soon,  a man came and removed the chains on Debby and Lilly's hands and feet.

Debby winced in pain when the chain that had been on her ankle and wrists for a very long time was removed.

Rio stared at the poor girl's ankles and frowned.

The wound indicated that they had been in chains for a long time. Like an old wound added by a new wound.

For some reason, he became more riled up when he saw this at her feet. This is not only happening to this particular girl but all of them. Some even had more serious wounds.

The closest example was Lilly. The poor girl who was still in her arms. Her condition is worse. Gaping wounds and bruises were clearly visible on her body. The blood stains were also there on the thin clothes, it seemed fresh.

Suddenly the wind blew hard. The sounds of wild animals running echoed far from the forest. Birds flew up into the sky from the lush trees. It was as if something was scaring them.

Sure enough. Not long after, the sound of heavy footsteps could be heard clearly, until three huge terrifying Lycans appeared from the deep forest.

They look very ferocious and ready to kill anyone who approaches them. Even Rio took a few steps back when he saw his three Alphas appear so savagely.

The three figures roared and growled with a sound that made the ground as well as the trees around them shake. They were seen sniffing wildly here and there as if they were looking for something. The poor girls cried in fear at the sight of the three Lycans.

"Alphas!" Rio lowered his head welcoming the arrival of the three Alphas of the BlueMoon pack.

The three of them immediately looked towards Rio. However their bright blue eyes did not look at the Beta Blue Moon pack. It's down to where Lilly was sprawled on the ground, in Debby's arms.

Their eyes locked. Instantly the bright blue pupils turned into red lines.

Rio realized something and quickly pulled the clueless Debby away, leaving Lilly completely lying on the ground.

Everyone there saw the incident. And also saw how three figures of tall and big Lycan monsters surrounded the pale body of the girl and their voices echoed throughout the forest.

"MATE!!!"
