Chapter 17

Rio and Debby were walking towards the forest, a little bit too far from the center of the pack. Debby didn’t dare to ask where they were going but she looked here and there as her anxiety was rushing, coming back to her. Just after she thought that this man was different, kind and all, he ordered her to follow him back to the deep forest.

The trees in this forest were tall to the sky, the leaves were so thick and the trunks were so big, Debby was sure even five men as big as Beta Rio would not be enough to hug this kind of giant tree.

She gulped every time they seemed to walk further and further away from the residential center. She was walking just behind Rio, matching his long footsteps made her run a little, and almost ran out of breath.

Rio finally realized her panting breath and slowed down his footsteps. Debby was focusing her steps on the rocky road, trying not to stumble on one of the thick roots and rock along the way. She didn’t pay attention to Rio’s movement, so when he

I think Beta Rio’s mate might of died. Don’t think it was a rejection but she’s definitely not there with him.

Beta Rio has a mate already. Why is he drawn to Debby? I am glad they are giving the deD women a special ceremony. Those rogues would have dumped their bodies in the woods.
