ARE YOU TRYING TO RUN AWAY.

Giselle's POV

I tried to calm my nerves as my teeth grind against each other in fear and anxiousness of what I just heard.

There is no way that could be true, right? I mean it's not my fault that I was born weak and also a human to a Lycan parent.

Why am I getting sold?

"Mother, what are you saying? Are you saying this because you are mad? Is it because I did something wrong? Is that why you are angry?" I asked, slumping on the floor as I went on my knees.

"I promised to be of good behavior and always listen to whatever you say so please, don't discard me," I begged as my heart ached knowing that it was over for me if I stepped out of the door.

My mother is someone that always does what she has in mind and there was no way she was going to listen to whatever I was saying ..but I was hoping.

I hope that she could at least listen to me and hear me out. I could not believe that she was going to take that kind of drastic measures to get rid of me.

"That's too late..I already collected money from your buyer and I am not the one that goes back on my words so I hope you go without much noise," my mother says and I shake my head not believing it.

She is my mother. She could not be cruel but my eyes filled with hope seeing my father but his scornful look told me that they were in it together.

"You should go and be a good girl, Alpha Raven promised to treat you better," my mother added, applying her makeup and not looking at me again and I gasped.

"What! Alpha Raven?" I was shocked wondering how my luck could be so bad.

Alpha Raven was one of the most powerful Alpha and also ruthless as the rumors mentioned and I wondered why my mother sent me to him…but the answer was far-fetched.

She wants me to die.

Alpha Raven's guards soon arrived and I was taken away with my mother not bothering to spare a look.

Maybe this was good after all. I could finally escape their grasp.

Leaving the pack house was easy because I do not have any fond memories of the place.

We embarked on the journey to a high crest pack but I finally jolted to my senses knowing I could actually escape.

"I have to run away, that is the only thing I can do," I mumbled inside the carriage and I peeked outside only to be met with the cold face of the guard who came to get me.

"Good work," I said shyly and I retracted my head back into the carriage.

Looks like I have to resort to my fate seeing how the man has been quite the monitoring spirit.

The carriage stopped moving after moving for a while and I stepped out faced with a gigantic building that reminded me of the British royal castle.

It was so elegant and big but I knew that was just a beautiful way to describe a prison of mine.

The wall of this place is going to be the only thing I will be seeing for a while.

"Follow me, we are going to wait for the Alpha in his office," the cold-looking guard said and I followed him silently.

We walked into the big mansion and I was sure that the rest of the pack house was also magnificent since the High Crest pack is said to be the richest pack.

We arrived in a well-furnished office with little design but the temperature in the room was cold.

"If you want to live longer in this place.. don't get on his nerves and most importantly don't look him in the eyes," the guard said walking away from the office and I was surprised by his words.

He has not bothered with me ever since we started the journey but seeing that his first words to her were warning her already tell her that it was crucial.

"Yes, this place was a dangerous place and that is more of a reason that I need to run away as soon as possible," I mumbled looking around the furnished office and I wondered if there could be an open window that I could jump off from.

I have heard rumors that Raven Rock killed people like they were his prey but he has never been questioned because he was powerful and the council doesn't deem it reasonable to get on his bad side.

He had quite enormous number of soldiers.

"What the hell are you doing?" I heard a thunderous voice behind me and I noticed that the room's temperature dropped awfully and without thinking I knew that I was in trouble.

There was no way the demon was going to spare me.

He was not going to spare me!' I mulled and I turned around slowly to see who it was but I was shocked to be faced with a breathtaking face.

"Wow!" I blurted out without thinking, looking at the most handsome man I have ever set my eyes on and I was surprised.

How can that handsome man be working for a Demon like my buyer?

'Or is the handsome man the Demon himself? Is he Raven Rock?' I pondered but a soft growl jolted me out of my thoughts and I looked at the man who was looking at me with his feverish eyes and I got shy but his next word left me speechless.

"Mate?" I heard the man's amused voice and I was confused.

'Mate? What is that?' I wondered…
