Carl's POV It was almost getting dark in the night when I stepped out of my room and crept to the door of Jaden's room. I knew it was wrong to peep on the prince, but I couldn't resist it. I needed to be sure if he actually has interest in Ava. I have to know if he thinks of her in anyway. Just as expected, the moment I peeked into his room through the key hole, I saw him. He was movihg to and fro in confusion, brooding in an unusual manner. My sharp ears could also catch the sound of his lips muttering the name, Ava, repeatedly. My lips curled into a smile as I saw it all and I almost laughed when he began to shake his head roughly in attempt to get her off his mind. For many years, I had been the prince's personal messenger, the one closest to him after his parents. I know him quite well, and that shaking of the head shows something was taking over his mind. Could it mean that the prince is thinking a lot about Ava? Wow... "What the hell are you peeping at!!" I heard an angry
The Lycan king rose from the bed and began to walk over to the door, forcing me into panic."Get on your knees." He whispered to me with a wink, and without wasting a second, I knelt, forcing myself to have a little hope in me.He opened the door and I could hear Jaden's footsteps with his omnious aura filling the whole room. My breath became shallow, but I tried hard to hide it all while bowing my head in fear."What is he doing here? Why are you punishing him?" Jaden inquired, and it was like I had been holding my breath all this time as I finally exhaled the mouthful of air in relief. All this time, I had the wrong idea. Jaden doesn't know what I have done."I caught him peeping into your room!" The king howled, pretending to be angry."What??! I don't get it...he was peeping on me when I was in my room. Why would he do that knowing how wrong it is!" Jaden frowned as he glowerwd at me."He refused to tell me why he was doing that! He adamantly refused to tell me!" The king growled,
Aurora's POVThe smile on my face couldn't just leave as I made my way to the Beta's house. I could feel the thump of excitement hitting inside my heart, forcing me to increase my pace. At some point, I found myself giggling. The fact that I still had the hope of destroying Ava couldn't stop making me feel giddy. I felt like dancing as my adrenaline flowed faster.Ava must think she is winning after seeing the Alpha treat me that way. For real, she must be feeling on top of the world now and has even got the courage to talk back to me. Now, I'll be fighting back in a way she never expected. After what seemed like eternity due to my eagerness, I was finally in front of the Beta's house, standing on the porch as I took deep breaths. Just as I was about to knock on the door, I overheard something that drew my attention."Mom, I love the Lycan prince and I hate Ava because he asked about her when I visited their kingdom with the Alpha. It just seemed like he was more interested in her."
Ava's POV "I don't care. I won't sit back and watch you suffer. No!" Stan bawled, and I couldn't help the giggles that escaped my lips on hearing him say this. He just came to see me this evening and after some gists, he began to say all this like he was my knight in shining armor. "Will you disobey the Alpha just to help me?" I asked with raised brows, and there was silence as he took deep breaths, shutting his eyes and biting his lips. "You see, the last thing I ever want is to put anyone into trouble. I also like you and appreciate all your kindness, but there are things that are above our power!" I added and hugged him warmly. Just then, we heard a knock on the door, and that made him jump off of me in panic. I was also struck with fear that I couldn't even respond to the knock. It came again, harder. "Who is there?" I stuttered. "Open this door!" The voice of Eric came in, and a heavy sigh of relief escaped my lips. I walked over and opened the door only to see him carryin
"Go check for yourself in the palace. Isn't he your father?" A maid chimed in, replying in a mocking manner. She was just interested in reminding me how pathetic I am. Taking a deep breath to calm my nerves, I made my way to the palace. The first thing that caught my attention as I drew closer was the Beta scent, which was lingering in the air. "What could bring the Beta to the palace at this time of the night?" I mused as I drew closer to the door. If everything in my life was normal, I should have opened the palace door and walked in, but hell no, I had no guts to do that, so I just had to eavesdrop. "You mean your parents left for hunting and you haven't heard from them till now? This is strange." I could hear my father speaking to someone in a tender voice. "I am scared, especially as I have no idea what happened to my parents." The voice of Nana came in, and I flinched at what she had just said. "Nothing will happen to them. They went hunting and might have faced a little p
Nana's POV She was entirely out of my sight before I could finally get back to the lost world I had drifted into. This was so shocking to be real, and even as I tried shoving it away, it kept getting more vague for my brain to understand. Just as Jaden had become so interested at the mention of Ava and went ahead to ask who she was, that was the exact way it had happened a few minutes ago. Ava also had that same expression and questioned me about Jaden with too much enthusiasm. This shouldn't be what I am thinking. It can never be that they are fated in any way, because that would be a big shame to me. "Fuck!" I cursed under my breath, puffing and huffing. I didn't even know when I kicked the wooden chair in front of me, shattering it into pieces as jealousy stirred up to its peak inside me. "Why are you worried?" My wolf, Vena, had to chip in after seeing how flustered I was. "You won't understand!!" I yelled back, jumping on the bed with a deep grunt. "You are really disturbin
"You mean the same pack where Ava is staying?" I queried quickly, sitting up from the bed at an unusual speed. He nodded, and I found my legs reaching the ground and leading me to the bathroom. Maybe at that moment, my brain stopped working, because I didn't know when I took my bath and got dressed up. "Wow..." Carl exclaimed with wet eyes filled with emotions while watching me comb and perm my hair in front of the mirror. Just then, my brain began to work again, and I realized how stupid I had reacted once again over Ava. I turned to him with a forced frown. "My prince." He bowed with a cheesy smile. "I am not anxious to meet her. Stop overthinking and let's get going." I shrugged, knowing full well that my lie was useless. "Yes, my prince. Time to meet your ma...." I knocked his head playfully, but made sure it was hard enough to push the remaining word back into his mouth. "Now go and get whatever I am handing to them, I'll be waiting for you at the garage. Don't waste much
It was like I was deprived of breathing, and I can't explain why. Just then, I heard the door make a clicking sound, showing it was unlocked, but I knew he must have left. The noise outside has died down, and it has been hours ago. "There is no need to open the door when he is gone already. I hate you all!!" I bawled in tears without turning, but just at that moment, I smelled the Lycan scent. Not only did I smell this most pleasant Lycan scent, which made my entire body shiver with a very sweet sensation waving through me from the inside. I spun around sharply, and all I was able to see was his gold wavy hair that just swayed through the air in a swift way. His speed was so extreme that I couldn't see his face before he swooze past the door and out of my room, shutting it back as it was. I left the bed and made to run after him, but couldn't take three steps forward before Nana walked into the room in a flurry of activity as her eyes wandered around. She looked so pained and scar
