Celia

I hated him. I hated him to the core.

That was what I kept telling myself as his lips found mine and he began kissing me, hungrily.

Well, I could play the game too.

Our mutual passion or fury or whatever it was could serve as a perfect outlet to subdue one another. There was nothing to lose.

I could kiss him back, make him come undone just like the day I had sucked him clean and wiped off that smirk off his face. That would redeem me.

His moans would be brownie points.

I fought to keep my head in the game but soon his hands left mine and began trailing downward. I was hyperaware of the way his fingers slowly, deliberately trailed down the path to my body.

Meanwhile, I was being ravaged by his lips which demanded more access. I fought my body’s need to comply but Goddess my mind was on the losing end already.

“Celia”

He breathed just one word, my name and I let go of the leash I had placed upon myself, restricting me.

“Kiss me, harder” I muttered and he obliged, flick

Celia I raised my hand and ran straight at Jasper who stood where he was. His hands were still in his pockets and he barely stepped aside as I tried to hit him. In one smooth move, he twisted the dagger out of my hand, knocking it off as it clattered to the ground. “You are distracted” He muttered as he bent down, plucked the dagger from the floor, and threw it to the target in one straight shot. Again, it hit the bullseye. Though I knew it had, I couldn’t help but turn around and check for myself. He saw me looking at the small shortsword that was still vibrating due to the impact. “And you lost, again. So do as I say. Strip for me” His eyes darkened as he looked at me. He did not advance toward me nor did he look the slightest bit aroused. There was that signature smug look on his face that annoyed the hell out of me. “Now” He repeated in an even voice and the walls trembled a little. There was barely a hint of power in his voice, the slightest tinge of authority but it mad

( Some of you might find the chapter too intense so leaving this note at the top)CeliaSince he was being so open about it, I decided to ask what was on my mind next.“How close? Have you shared a night of passion together?”Jasper halted.I saw the split second of hesitation in his eyes and everything I had buried down earlier in my heart came bubbling outside like a volcano. I needed answers and I just wanted to get out of the way if they were having a fling. After all, I still hadn’t found my mate. Though he did not have to answer me.“Are you sure you can handle the truth?” Another question instead of an answer. He enquired and I felt my jealousy return in rolling waves. “Answer me,” I said in a determined voice.Jasper replied, “Sway your hips and I will”Huh?“What?”“I said. Sway. Your. Hips”Every word was laced with the same authority he had used earlier and I stiffened. I began moving seductively as he began speaking.“There was one night I spent with her or maybe a few mo

Jasper I bent over and held Celia in my arms, cradling her as the blood dried on my chest. She had passed out from exhaustion but more so from the act of spilling blood, my blood to be specific. Her head lolled to the side as I picked her from the ground and walked through the passageway. There were not many guards and a few who did see me noticed the blood on my chest. The wound had healed but the shirt still looked blood stained. I reached her room in the blink of an eye and called out for Grace who was hovering somewhere nearby. She promptly stepped forward, her head bent low as she greeted me, “Yes, your majesty” “Celia is exhausted and maybe she will need something to cool her nerves” Grace nodded her head obediently. “I will, your majesty” I lowered Celia onto the bed and gave Grace a few instructions to follow before walking out of her room. I knew Nymeria would be waiting for me in my study. She would not leave as she had a lot many questions for me. Thus, I straig

Celia I lay on the bed in a crumpled heap of limbs when I heard the softest whisper. It was the voice I would never forget. “Celia” It came again. I struggled to get up from the bed, to open my eyes that were sewn shut for I did not want to miss the chance of seeing that face again. “Celia” I forced my body using the little strength I had to open my eyes which were already moist. I don’t think I had stopped crying since I returned to my room and somehow fell asleep. “Mom,” I whispered. Grace Klaus, my mother and the most compassionate and fearless woman I had ever seen in my life, was looking at me. She looked so young, so beautiful. Her big brown eyes were looking at me with concern, her long silky hair slipping out of the ponytail. A kind and loving smile blossomed on her face as she raised a hand to cup my cheek. “Get up sweetheart, it is morning” She gently caressed me and I only snuggled further in her embrace, holding her hands between my small ones. I was looking at

Celia I angrily stormed into my room, half-blinded by tears and half by the irritation swelling inside of me. I was trying to shove down the guilt that was threatening to creep up my spine. The way he had quietly muttered those two words, “I know” had been more of a slap than any snarky remark I would have expected him to throw at me. Just why did that goddamn prince affect me so much? He should be the one pleading at my feet, wanting to apologize for his cruel tactics. But here I was, beginning to feel guilty for something that he did not even say out loud to me. “Argh” I pulled at my hair and dug my fingers into my hair, trying to ease my frustration. I had gone to give him a piece of my mind, not return feeling as if I was the one at fault. Just why and how did he manage to make me feel so horribly confused each time? I went to the mirror and looked at my reflection. My hair was messy and so was my dress. I did not bother trying to tame them and looked at my reflection that

CeliaAs we discussed the action plan for gathering proof against Matron Arwen, I finished another plate of cookies that Grace had brought from the kitchen hurriedly after seeing how quickly I finished the first plate. It seemed my stomach needed food while I hatched a plan. As I was busy discussing the next steps with Grace which were more of trying to ensure that she would not back out at the last moment, there was a knock on the door.I furrowed my eyebrows while Grace immediately stiffened. She sprang up from the bed while I tried to gather my senses. I feared it was the prince himself while she feared that it was her arch enemy. She began stammering, “I…I will hide in the washroom, if it is the Matron tell her I am scrubbing the toilet”“Calm down and stand here with me, Grace”But she was not even listening to me, “Or…or tell her I went in the garden to work in the sun, that will please her”I held her by the shoulders and said in a stern voice, “Shh, stop being so flustered. Celia“How about right now?”Jasper enquired, a challenge in his eyes as he looked at me with a raised eyebrow. I had not expected him to be so eager but more than that I had not expected myself to be eager either.“What are you going to make me do this time? Are you going to stab me for a change? Or are you going to make me run through the palace for my life as you hunt me down like a vampire who just got a taste of my blood?”If Jasper’s eyebrow could have gone any higher, he would have definitely done it. I could see his eyes rolling so far back that they must hit on the inside of his skull.“I had something different in mind….but given your suggestions, now I wonder if your ideas would make it more interesting”Jasper said with a playful smile on his lips. My eyes went wide as I thought of running through the passageways while he stalked me like a predator.Or held a knife to my heart and stabbed me until I bled.An involuntary shudder ran through my body, tingling my spine as he

Celia He said in a challenging tone as I gave him a bewildered look. I could tell that he was enjoying my confusion, a mischievous grin playing on his lips. “Huh, what do you mean?” I asked but Jasper only flicked his eyes at Edriel and gave him a nod. Edriel nodded in return as well, a silent dialogue passing between them as Edriel changed the tempo of the music. While it was all soft and smooth earlier, now it became faster and more intense. As the music changed, Jasper took me off guard. He spun me around, our bodies coming close to each other before he pulled me back in. Our eyes met, and I felt the tension between us sizzle again, my senses hyperaware of Jasper’s fingers resting at the small of my back. I could see a flicker of desire in Jasper's eyes, and I had the mad urge to kiss him. His gaze was trained on me and as if he read my thoughts, it dipped from my eyes to my slightly parted lips. "I think you've gotten the hang of it," Jasper said, breaking the spell between

I sincerely hope I've improved as a writer when compared to my old books and continue to write stories that touch your hearts. But I want to thank every single one of you for giving this story and this author a chance. If my story managed to provide a temporary escape from reality or simply added a sprinkle of joy to your day, then my mission as a writer is complete. And to those who patiently endured the plot twists – I promise, I only did it because I love you all. Okay, maybe that is not the complete truth. Perhaps there was a hint of mischief in the twis

  • The Lycan's Obsession   Chapter 248

Jasper I turned my head to look at her from a distance. I could see the nervousness in her gaze, in her body language. My gaze flicked to the guests, all of whom were looking at her. She cleared her throat, “Today is going to be a big day of my life. But before I take that step…I…I wanted to tell you all something.” Her gaze found mine and I only smiled at her. Before she could speak another word, one of the many people in the crowd placed a hand on his chest and bowed down to her. Celia was stunned and watched him In surprise. Behind her, Nymeria, Xenos, and Vasil were slowly descending the stairs too. Following the first person, a few more did the same- place a hand on their chest, their heart to be precise, and bowed to her, going down on one knee. “What is going on?” She asked In a low voice. Soon, everybody followed suit. In a matter of minutes, the entire crowd was on its knees, bowing to her. Her eyes flicked to me and I too did the same gesture. Placing my hand on my

JasperI cleared my throat and looked down at the crowd of people who had come to witness the wedding. There had been no happy event or celebration in the palace after my birth. That day had been a day of celebration but Isadora had turned it into a nightmare. And after all those years, finally, we were having a moment to rejoice. But as I watched the hopeful eyes of the people surrounding me, I could not shake the uneasy feeling gnawing at me.I had to get rid of it. And the only way to do that was to be honest. For a confused moment, I stood on the stairs, looking at the excited faces of the people around me.My gaze flicked to my father and brothers, all of whom were smiling proudly at me.“Ladies and gentlemen, can I have your attention please?” I asked in a loud voice, turning even those heads that had been momentarily distracted while looking at the grandeur of the palace.“First of all, I would like to thank you all for being present today. JasperThe huge room suddenly felt too small and the air in the world did not seem enough to fill my lungs.Celia had spoken something, but I was too busy staring at her.My heartbeat was roaring in my ears as I took in her beauty that shone radiantly, nothing short of a thousand lanterns. Her face looked distraught and her eyes were red, her cheeks puffed up. Her makeup had smeared a little too.But despite that, she looked like an angel. A Goddess.I had only seen her in her usual gowns and training clothes, but this marvel…this was just for me.For a minute, I simply stood in front of her, drinking her features. How could she be so blissfully ignorant of what she was doing to me by just standing there in that beautiful dress?I took a step forward, and I saw a tear trickle down her eye.“Shh, don’t cry,” I said softly, reaching for her face and cupping it. And when I did, a surge of electricity rippled through me.My Lycan roared in my head, feeling exhilarated to see her all dolle

CeliaDread settled in my heart when Xenos and Nymeria revealed my life’s biggest secret. My whole life had been a lie?But then what about the people I grew up with thinking they were my parents?Nothing made sense anymore, and I only stared blankly at Xenos.“Is…is that true?”I asked, and he nodded. “There is a reason I never found the courage to tell you all of this earlier. And to be sure that I was not guessing it all wrong, I asked Nymeria to allow me to show her that memory, too. I touched her and with her permission, I looked through her memories…childhood memories, to be specific. There was no trace of me or Isadora in it.”My heart felt like it would break into a million pieces.“But then, how could I never do magic? Celia "Are you going to tell her, or should I?" Nymeria's question hung in the air like a storm cloud, casting a palpable tension in the room. I looked from Nymeria to Xenos, confusion and a growing sense of foreboding twisting in my chest. Their solemn expressions conveyed that something grave was afoot. I shifted uncomfortably in my seat, my heart beginning to race. "Tell me what?" I pressed, my voice laced with unease. Xenos, usually a man of few words, hesitated for a moment. His eyes held mine for a second longer than I expected, and I could see a mix of guilt and apprehension in them. He opened his mouth to speak but closed it again, the weight of his unspoken words lingering in the room. Nymeria, her expression torn between sympathy and responsibility, finally broke the silence. "Celia, there's something you need to know." I felt a shiver crawl down my spine. The room, once filled with warmth and camaraderie, had now become suffocating with uncertainty. My thoughts raced as
