[Gabriel's POV]

I was lost in a nice dream, enjoying a good sleep when suddenly I felt the shock of cold water splashing all over me. I opened my eyes and found myself face-to-face with three guards, each holding a weird stick-like object. I felt confused as I tried to understand what was happening.

"Who are you?" one of the guards demanded, his voice sounding authoritative. I turned away, searching for my phone on the ground. Finally, I saw it and bent down to pick it up, but then one of the guards hit me hard on the head with his stick. "Hey, I'm talking to you!" the guard shouted, showing his anger.

It was as if they knew something, their disapproving expressions directed at me. Had the guards betrayed my trust and gossiped about the kiss with Gabriel? Anger flared within me. How dare they spread such private matters to everyone? Determined to confront the guard in charge, the one who had ordered Gabriel's capture, I strode purposefully toward the section they normally occupied. Approaching the table, I exchanged handshakes with everyone before taking my seat. Now a group of seven, all members of the pack, we were familiar with each other's presence. Jake, always the instigator, wasted no time in teasing me, saying, "You're a minute late, Gabriel." I responded with a frown, clearly displaying my typical dislike for Jake. It was no secret that I couldn't stand him, but Jake seemed to take pleasure in provoking me nonetheless. As our eyes locked in a tense moment, Jake suddenly burst into laughter, remarking to
