Kieran squealed so hard when Brynn told him about her plans to go out of the pack for his birthday first, and she had never seen her child so happy or so excited to do something.

It brought joy to her heart and also a painful ache; even a small gesture of going out was such a joy for him. When did it get so bad, and why did she not notice sooner? She wondered to herself.

She had to do this because she wanted her baby boy to feel loved and happy his whole life, just like he was now, and not scared when his father's name or even voice was heard.

Brynn made it her mission as Kieran waited for her after he promised to be a good boy. She walked to Macy's room, knowing quietly until she opened the door, and there was a knowing smile on the maid's face as she opened the door wider.
