Brynn was stunned.

Stunned by the fact that Killian kissed her, and all the more shocked that he allowed it, and her response to him pushing him before running away, she felt embarrassed now that she was alone in her room with her thoughts. “Ugh!” she groaned, plopping back on the bed and rolling under the quilt sheets.

“Why the hell did you do that, Brynn?” She asked herself, still feeling embarrassed. Knowing she could have handled it in a better way, but as she came out of the blanket, she couldn’t help but think of the kiss and how hot it was.

How it flamed her insides and set her body on fire, and how much it made her feel things—that spark that she never felt with a demon even after she gave her body to him—now a cold feeling swamped her the moment she thought of Damon.

It felt weird that two full days had passed and I had not heard from him. Was it easier this way? Was it so good to end their relationship like this?
