83: Cheating?
Kenzie hadn't meant to say it that way. She hadn't meant to let the words come out of her mouth at all until tomorrow. Wanting to allow him to bask in the celebration. However, seeing him pack and the mention of the mating season, her heart had begun to beat fast, and she felt as if her stomach had dropped.
Now, Viper stood staring at her, and Kenzie found herself shifting from one foot to another as nervousness came over here as she tried to figure out how to start the conversation she hadn't been ready to have yet.
"Kenzie, I do not understand cheating in the way you used it," Viper told her.
She wanted to groan out loud. Of course, her luck would have it that he didn't understand, and she'd have to explain it to him.
"Will you…sit down, please?" Kenzie questioned. When he complied, she figured she should start with what she'd meant. "Cheating, it means pursuing or sleeping with someone else."
"I am not doing either of those things."

Viper's attention was drawn by the sound of what he knew were human weapons. He had them fired at him enough to know them without fail. What he had not known was that humans were even in the facility. This would add more excitement to his hunt. Kenzie pushed herself faster. She had been right. After her grandfather had gotten all the samples he could, they continued on and ran into a group of werewolves. Viper was angry as he killed the werewolf that had just injured the human. Jumping down from his ledge, he injected himself fully into the battle. He'd been enjoying watching the humans battle the creatures. They were very skilled. Firing his mini cannon, Viper picked them off one by one. He could have shifted into full Lycan form and fought them, but he had not wanted to scare the female, and his weapons were always effective. It did not take long for the room to become silent, as the deformations lay dead on the floor. Remembering that they still couldn't see him, Viper uncloaked himself.
