Sonja had been commissioned to make two robes. One for Elder Bantu the other for his life mate Female Elder Mekri. They were attending a function with another pack along with a few of the other elders. It was in an attempt to form an alliance between the two packs. She had been told that there had never been any bad blood between the two so forming an alliance seemed like a diplomatic strategy. She knew her father-in-law would be attending as well and had decided to surprise him with a new robe.
She was putting the final touches on the first one when her daughter walked into the work room Cobra had added to their house for her. The teenager inspected the garment for a moment before speaking.
"That looks really good, Mom. Is it for the Elder or Grandpa?"
"The Elder. I'm going to make your grandfather something a bit more prestigious since he outranks this particular Elder."
