Liam's POV

Has her eyes ever been so cold?

I had never noticed it. Whenever she looked at me, it was with affection, admiration, shyness, in sheer pleasure and ecstasy- I shook my head as I tried to focus on the matter at hand.

Those eyes had stared at me so daringly. Did she want me to punish her? That maid had mentioned that if she decided to write those letters, her wrist would hurt.

Surely, Aurelia didn’t expect me to order her to do it just to appease my anger? Sometimes I wondered just what exactly that woman thought of me. I thought about it all night and I was yet to come up with an answer.

"Who was that woman, your highness? We've been looking forward to this meeting all night!" Elder Thelma's voice jolted my out of my thoughts.

"I have so many questions. My goodness! I can't get that sight out of my head!" one of the elders retorted.

"You should've seen the way I was blushing like a teenager. I suddenly felt so young again." Elder Thelma agreed, nodding her head earnestly.
