"I thought I told nobody to move without my command! Are my orders not clear nowadays you fools?" Barked a man, kicking and punching his own man on their stomach. "Answer me!" The rest of the men only grimaced to the pain but stood firmly again the next second as if nothing happened to them. "It was Madam who made the order boss, we informed her about you but she still said to follow her plan instead. Please forgive us boss, it was entirely Madam!" One of them replied warily. The man paced around and let out a loud roar the next minute, "Fuck!" As if he was angered by their so-called Madam, they all shivered and kept their distance from him, he was on the verge of shifting, face boiling red. She couldn't clearly see them and just heard what they spoke, however the voice was quite familiar, she could tell to whom it belonged and that's what made her eyes widening, and covered her mouth in great shock. But how- how could he be with them? She couldn't believe it and since she couldn't s
Walter stepped out of the truck without his knowledge that he was being watched. "See you around" he uttered to the man before they shut the door and the truck accelerated away. "Are you going to explain to me the meaning of all of this, Walter?" Came a voice that made his soul almost leave his body. He changed his facial expression before turning to her, "Elva, it's not like what you're thinking!" he started to defend himself but Elva wasn't ready to buy it. "Well then tell me what it is like!" She was infuriated as she stood a few steps away from him just to protect herself from him in case what she was thinking was right. Walter ran his fingers through his hair in frustration "Alright, please listen to what I have to say carefully" it seemed like he was having a hard time explaining the situation. Elva couldn't overlook the matter, for now they were dealing with a very serious issue that was hindering their pack, and if he was one amongst them then she would be willing to get rid o
"Um…it's….I was just making up some nonsense, just forget about it" she brushed off the matter. She can't probably name that person if the man was standing right before her! Liam nodded and hummed in response but Emrys didn't believe her words. He might not have spent a year with her yet to know her better but the little period that he shared with her, he could tell if he was telling the truth or when she was lying. However he chose not to press on the issue since she wasn't ready to share it. "Yow Elva! The Queen mother is asking for you, I've looked for you in the entire castle!" her heart pounded, "The Queen mother you say?" She couldn't hide the shock. A guard came to fetch her with a motorcycle. "We have to go now," he added. El looked back at Emrys, he didn't know why she was called by his mother either and he didn't think that it could be any problem. So he gave her a nod to go ahead, she gave a helpless smile before walking to the man. Emrys might not know why she was called,
Emry's POV I was coming back from the interrogation room, luckily I got something useful this time around and I made sure nobody else heard it this time around. I wanted this matter to end once and for all, I was tired of being played like a fool by my own people. I made my way back home, reeking of those bloody rogues, I needed a cold shower to wash their stench off my body. I accidentally bumped into Elva, my was blood boiling once I saw her crying. I held onto her "Elva? Who made you cry? Tell me now!!" I could feel my head spinning and heart aching to hear her son in my arms. "Leave me alone!!" She pushed me away, and ran, "Elva!" I tried to catch up with her and held her again, cupped her face "Hey, hey sweetie, what happened to you? Why are you crying? Has anybody done something to you?" It was breaking my heart to see her like that, I couldn't stand it and used my thumbs to wipe her tears. She didn't say a word and just hugged me tightly, I let her cry in my embrace for a lit
A week passed by, Elva was trying her best to avoid the man and even though it was impossible since he was the boss, working under him and within the same roof, just a table away from him didn't make it easier. Apart from work related issues she ignored any little possibilities that could bring the two of them together. And she wasn't doing all of this because she was scared of the Queen mother, she was scared for herself and her poor heart. Maybe she got too carried away with the man and forgot where she came from for a while. She couldn't afford getting heartbroken again because this path with this man seems so hard to take. Seeing how much she was trying to avoid him, Emrys didn't want to be clingy and make things even harder for her. They haven't spoken since that day and whenever he tried to bring such topics then she would somehow find a way to kill it before he even began. Only God knows how much he was dying to talk to her, to have what they were having before his mother ruin
They found two of their man lifeless on the floor, then suddenly three rogues came out holding one kids as their hostage, "Take a step forward and I'll slit her throat!" Threatened the rogue who was holding the poor baby, she was crying silently. Elva felt a tug on her heart, and since she was standing behind the other soldiers, she could easily attack. She wasted no time and aimed her gun, before Emrys could move the three men were shot at their faces and dropped down instantly, the little girl screamed as she fell along with the dead rogue. They all turned to look at who shot them, Elva cleared her throat and put away her gun "I had a good angle" she uttered and went to pick up the girl, she wiped her face and hugged her "Here, here baby, it's alright now, you are safe with us" the little girl clung onto her amd sobbed even more. Elva patted the little frightened girl, while the rest of the team along with Emrys were searching around the room. "Now baby, I want you to tell me somethi
Elva's POV The next day I woke up late, told to take the day off by my boss, so I happily slept my ass off without any worry on my shoulders. However, being this Elva nowadays… I couldn't keep sleeping and gradually woke up. I called my parents and spoke with them both for a while, my heart was at ease to see them happy and healthy. I couldn't be with them but that doesn't mean I wouldn't get back if something was to happen to them, God forbid. I was famished and thought of getting something to eat, not even sure if there would be any breakfast food left at this hour, damn I slept a lot today. I walked past the corridors, it was quiet …too quiet as if there was nobody around, in fact I didn't come across any maids until I reached the kitchen. I saw Amanda, the chief maid of the royal house, but she was also packing up for the day when it was only afternoon. What was going on here? "Amanda," she faced me, drying her hands before placing the cloth back on its hanger. "Hey beautiful, y
"I am sorry, just…just leave Elva, now!" He turned his back on her again, rubbing his temples. Leave? Never! Just not when he was in that state. "I am not going anywhere, I will remain here by your side" she uttered, taking steps towards him. She reached for his back and back hugged him, "I will never leave you Rys. I can't see you in this state and I won't leave you to hurt alone. I am going to remain here, I'll lend you my ears and I can listen to you for as long as you want. Or then I would lend you my shoulder so you can cry out everything but just don't chase me away, please" her tears trailed off, soaking his shirt. He slowly turned, his face showed so much pain that she felt like it was hard for her to breathe. She cupped his face, wiping his tears gently "Let me be here with you, please. I can't leave you, how could I leave you when you've always been there for me?" she pulled him for a tight hug, he cried in his arms again and again until his voice was hoarse. They sat on hi
