Chapter 16: The Fiancée

Athena’s POV

“You are pregnant?”Andrew inquired, his eyes wide with surprise, and he immediately jumped up, his hands trembling frantically. My pulse raced faster, hoping he wouldn't attack me out of rage.

“Yes, I am” I answered while swallowing growing lumps in my throat.

“How come you are just telling me about it?”He inquired, his brow furrowed, and he appeared betrayed. Betrayed by me, remorse filled my lungs as I methodically planned my next words.

“Well, I was terrified. I'm not sure how you'll react, and I'm not sure whether you want me to abort my pups…" He shut me off.

“Pups?” he inquired.

“Yes, pups, but I have grown to adore this pack, and I adore you. I decided to tell you because it would hurt more if you found out from someone else,” I murmured quietly, my gaze fixated on my legs since I was too afraid to look up.
