Dane

Tristan.

I stared at him in rage. What was he doing here? I hadn’t seen him in a long time. The last time we spoke was two months ago. He had set out on a solo journey and I hadn’t communicated with him ever since. And now he was here, standing at the doorway of the room I kept Lusia.

Lusia stirred on the bed behind me with a sigh. The memory of me jacking at Lusia’s feet crowded my mind. Had they watched that? I didn’t think so. But I didn't hear the door when it opened. There was a possibility they saw that. I was angered by that. How dare they come in here? Who gave them the permission to watch me? I was furious. My eyes went to Kiara. Of course, she was the one that brought him.

I cleared my mind, clenched my jaws, and kept a straight face.

“Tristan. What the hell are you doing here?” I asked.

He was staring at me in shock with his arms folded. Kiara, who was standing before me, had a smile on her face. She seemed to be enjoying this. There was no doubt in my mind that sh

Kiara I walked out of the courthouse with a smile on my face. Everything was going according to plan. I was surprised that it worked out just the way I had planned it. Things would have run out of control. Dane had snapped and almost took Tristan’s head off. But that didn’t matter. I was going to finish what I started before he figured it out. While I was being locked up in the bathroom, I realized that it was time for me to act. If I kept wasting time, I was going to regret it later on. And I almost did. But that act from Dane had driven me into action. I realized that he was not going to let me go if I ever did something to Lusia. So the best way to get back at them was to attack him first. Breaking out of the bathroom, I rushed out to the Elders of the council to report him. And on my way back, I found Tristan. He had been away for about two months. When I told him about what Dane was doing, it almost drove him insane. He followed me back to the castle and that was when we had

Lusia It all happened so fast that I didn’t see it coming. They were probably invisible with the way they moved in the shadows, I hadn't been able to get a glimpse of them before they hurt me. The pain stung badly, and my head was pounding as I tried to stay conscious. I gritted my teeth and rolled on the ground as writhed in pain. I could feel them touching me. They were fondling my breasts, reaching for my clothes. My heart skipped a beat as I realized what was about to happen. I was going to be sexually molested. I felt the hands on me grow rougher as they tore my clothes off. I was scared and didn’t know what to do. I was too frightened to move. Where was Dane? Had he set this up? I couldn’t tell. I was told to meet him here, but he wasn't. Then where the hell was he?I had woken up a few minutes before the knock came on my door. I had a weird dream that King Dane was in my room with another man and Kiara. They were arguing about something before they all left. I woke up to

DaneShe was okay. I had gotten here just in time. I was scared. What if they had killed her before I got the chance to save her? I was lucky that the council had finished just in time. And by the time I walked out of the courthouse, I heard her scream my name. Seeing her being molested by werewolves drove me insane. My wolf had broken through my skin barrier before I could think of shapeshifting, letting itself free. We had taken them down with so much ease. But I was confused. How had werewolves been able to get into the castle? There were no guards at the first gate which was also weird. Tobias who was supposed to be there had been cast out by me. That was one of the reasons it was empty. Lusia was staring into my eyes as she held onto me. It made my stomach churn in guilt. Looking at the fear in her eyes as she saw me in my Lycan form for the first time brought memories of that night. She had the same look in her eyes when I saw her. It made me reminisce about a memory I tried s

DaneTen years ago. I stared at my reflection in the mirror. I looked nervous. My blue eyes were filled with regret and guilt. My jet-black hair which was combed neatly by one of the maids in the room glittered in the fluorescent light of the chandelier that hung above us. I stared at my hands and they were trembling. The flashes of the deaths of the Royal family of the Silvermoon pack came back to me. My heart was thumping hard against my chest in fright. I looked at my reflection in the mirror once more and the question struck me. What is happening to me? What have I done? From a distance, I could hear the music coming from the ballroom. There was a ball going on, a ball that I was supposed to be part of. But I couldn't pull myself together. What I had done barely five years ago still wanted me to this very day. I couldn't get any sleep because I saw flashes of them every single time I closed my eyes. I could still see the little girl staring at her parents’ corpse which was lyin

Dane We moved towards the center of the ballroom where there was an empty spot. The jazz music had begun playing slowly and then the air around the room grew romantic. Maybe it wasn’t that. Maybe it was because I was with her. There was something about her I couldn't fathom. Something different. She was different from the other girls. Every single lady in the ballroom knew I would be there. They were dying to ask me out. They were begging for me to choose them. But their efforts irritated me. I was irked that they all saw me as a commodity. I mean, who wouldn’t want to be with the prince? I was the hero of my pack, and yet I didn’t feel like it. I just felt like I did something wrong. It was wrong in every way except in the eyes of my people. They saw it as an opportunity to get back what they had lost. But she was different. She didn’t care about who I was. She was so nonchalant standing next to me. She talked to me like I was a commoner. And I actually like it. It was unbelievab

DaneI stepped through the towering dark mahogany doors of the Lycan King’s study, the weight of their enormity pressing against my back as they creaked shut behind me. The scent of burning cedarwood filled my lungs, thick and sharp, mingling with something more primal—something unmistakably Lycan. The room was dark, save for the flickering light of the massive fireplace that roared along the far wall. Shadows stretched long across the polished obsidian floor, twisting like living things as I moved forward. The towering shelves lining the walls were filled with aged tomes and scrolls, their spines worn from centuries of handling. Unlike the refined libraries of my palace, this space was not meant for leisurely reading—it was a war room disguised as a study, a place where strategies were forged and kingdoms were unraveled. At the center of it all sat the Lycan King’s desk, a monstrous piece of blackened oak and wolf-bone, carved with ancient sigils. Stacks of parchment, sealed letters,

LusiaPresent day. I was lost in his words. The narration had been worse than I thought it would be. I couldn't believe that someone like King Dane would be stuck in a situation like that. Maybe he was just saying that to get sympathy from me. What if he was manipulating me to believe him? That was another angle. I couldn’t let him ruin me. Not again. But he had confessed to killing my parents. I didn’t know how to react to it. He had confessed indirectly, but he had said it was done. He had also seen me that night. He had been that terrifying silhouette that had fled the living room when I came in. That was ten years ago. I wondered how young he was then. He didn’t look like his age at all. His jet-black hair and his olive skin made him look so much younger. And his icy blue eyes weren’t as cold as they normally were. That was something I noticed all night long.“So. There you have it,” he said, running his fingers through his tousled hair. I was speechless throughout the night

LusiaI opened my eyes slowly letting out a yawn. I stretched my body across the bed and was surprised at how soft it was. There was an intense light coming from behind me which bathed the room and the bed I laid on. It was much warmer than it was supposed to be. I didn’t hear the sound of birds chirping, which was strange as well. Where did all the birds go? I turned to the other side of the bed lazily, and what I saw next frightened me. It was King Dane. He was sitting on an armchair which was beside a huge fireplace. He had his legs crossed and he was glaring at me. My heart was thumping hard against my chest as my eyes met his.He was dressed in a purple checked shirt with a pair of black pants. His tousled jet-black hair was combed neatly. His icy blue eyes were filled with rage as he watched me. His well-chiseled chin looked like they could cut through diamonds. He was gorgeous. “Your Highness,” I greeted softly. “Why are you still asleep?” He asked. I gulped hard as I hear

DaneThe room was quiet now that the woman left. I was staring down at Lusia who looked so pale. She was breathing which was okay to me. She was alive. That was what mattered most. But I was worried. Not only by that but by the words that the healer had told me just before she left the room. Lusia had a wolf. Her wolf was buried deep inside her. It was locked up. I never thought that someone like her would have a wolf. She looked so weak and fragile. But that wasn’t her fault. Somehow, her wolf spirit had been sealed which prevented her from the many perks of being a wolf. She couldn't heal fast, and she couldn’t shapeshift. She was almost human but for the werewolf blood flowing in her veins. I felt a knot tie in my stomach. It was sad for her. She had been through so much. I wondered if she knew about this. Of course, she did. Why wouldn’t she? I wanted to be close to her. I wanted to hold her and make her feel that she wasn’t alone. But I couldn't. I couldn’t show her how much I

DaneThe scream tore through the dungeon, sharp and desperate, bouncing off the cold, stone walls like a wounded animal’s cry. I hadn’t expected it. No, not from him. Keon had been a proud man when I first came into his cell. He was someone who thought of himself as strong. Now, he was nothing but a shaking mess of fear, his back pressed against the wall as if he could disappear into the cold, stony wall. For a moment, I simply stared, surprised. Then a slow, amused chuckle slipped past my lips.He was trembling so hard I could see the shudders racking his body. His hands clutched the rusted chains at his sides, fingers digging into the metal as if they could anchor him. His chest rose and fell in quick, uneven breaths, his eyes darting between me and the cell door as if expecting me to charge in and finish what I had started.I took a step closer, dragging my fingers along the iron bars, letting the sound scrape through the silence. His breathing hitched. I stopped in front of the d

DaneI was heading towards the last cell which was Finn’s. He was the last person I wanted to see. Finn Slater had come into my castle without my permission and threatened his sister, Lusia. Harming her in the process as well. If there was any of them who deserved the worst punishment it would be him. I was angry that he had still returned no matter how many times I had forgiven his behavior towards Lusia and me. The only reason he was still standing here was because of her. He was alive because Lusia wanted it. No matter how much she hated him, she didn’t want him dead. And I couldn't understand why. Someone like him didn’t deserve to be alive. His audacity and bravery were just a facade. Deep down, I know that he was terrified of me. And I could see that as I stood before his cell now. Finn stood inside, his back pressed so hard against the far wall that it seemed he was trying to melt into it. His royal robes, which looked amazing when he first arrived here, were torn and filthy,

DaneI crouched to Kiara’s level, watching her shudder as my presence towered over her. The cell was dimly lit, the torchlight casting shadows that danced against her pale, trembling face. Her breath hitched, and for the first time since she had been thrown in here, she truly looked at me. Not just with defiance, not just with hatred—but with fear.Good.Then she screamed.“I will let everyone know!” Her voice cracked, raw from her previous outbursts. “They’ll know the truth! That you—” she gasped, chest heaving, “—killed Luisa’s parents! That you kept her locked away in your castle, refusing to let her leave despite being told by the council!”Her words echoed through the cold, damp space. And then I laughed.A deep, unhinged sound that filled every inch of the dungeon. It rumbled through the stone walls, making the torches flicker as if even the flames feared me.Kiara flinched.“You think,” I chuckled darkly, shaking my head, “that I care?” I leaned in closer, lowering my voice to

DaneIt was my fault. I was late. I had been held up. That was why I couldn't be there in time. I would have stopped that fool from touching her. I would have made him pay for laying his hand on her skin. He still would. They were all locked up. Lusia was barely breathing. Her body was a ruin of blood and torn flesh, her skin marred with fresh welts and deep bruises that made my vision blur with rage. She was too light in my arms, too still. Every shallow breath she took felt like a battle she was losing, and I refused—refused—to let her lose it.Her blood still coated my hands. I could see it every time I flexed my fingers, feeling the warmth of it seared into my skin like a brand. No matter how much I wanted to stay by her side, to watch over her as she fought to recover, I had unfinished business.I stormed through the hallways of the castle, my grip firm but careful, her head cradled against my chest. My coat swallowed her fragile frame, but it wasn’t enough. Nothing was enough.

Lusia Koen’s fingers ghosted over my skin, slow and possessive, as if he had all the time in the world. My body was betraying me, writhing against the cold floor, my muscles locked in a feverish heat I couldn’t control. I wanted to claw at my skin, to rid myself of this cursed reaction, but I was trapped—trapped inside my own body, trapped with him.I tried to move away from him, but I couldn't. I was still bound. I was helpless as I lay on the wooden floor. I was irritated with the way he touched me, but my body accepted his touch because it was familiar. And also because it wanted to be satisfied. The feeling of disgust and lust drowned me. I was lost on what to do. There was no escape for me. I was trapped. “I’ve missed this,” he murmured, his voice low and satisfied.A shudder wracked through me, bile rising in my throat. I waited for him to take over me. I had no other choice. King Dane wasn’t coming. I had waited for too long. I had bought him all the time in the world, but it

LusiaMy entire body locked up the moment Finn stretched his arms lazily, his expression one of boredom. He was losing interest. That should have been a good thing. But I knew better.“Well,” he said, rolling his shoulders, his voice thick with amusement, “I think that’s enough for me.”Enough for him. What the hell did he mean by that? Was this some kind of game to him? It seemed so. My stomach turned violently. He was using me for his amusement. As always. That wasn’t a surprise. He still hadn’t changed a bit. I hated him Finn never left unfinished business unless he had someone else willing to finish it for him. Dread pooled in my gut, thick and suffocating, as Kiara exchanged a look with him, silent understanding passing between them. They were leaving. And they were leaving me here. With him. That was the last thing I wanted. It was the one thing I dreaded most. Leaving me here with Koen. He was going to come at me. I was certain that he wanted me. I turned my head slightly, jus

LusiaThe moment Kiara brought me down on my knees to the wooden floor, I barely had time to catch my breath before Finn made his move. I watched him tentatively, waiting to see what his next move was going to be. Was he going to torture me the same way Kiara did? I didn’t think so. Maybe he had something else special in his mind. He rose from King Dane’s armchair, his movements slow and calculated, the kind of arrogance that made my stomach twist with anger. His boots clicked against the floor as he approached, each step echoing like a countdown to something terrible.I tried not to flinch, tried not to show how much my cheek burned from Kiara’s slap, but my body betrayed me. My breath came fast, my ribs expanding and contracting in shallow, uneven bursts. I was still kneeling from where Kiara had dragged me, my body aching from the force of it.Finn stood over me now, looking down as if I were some insignificant thing. His lips curled in disgust.“Stupid girl,” he muttered before p

LusiaI could hear the sounds of laughter and muffled conversations as I struggled to get a hold of reality. I was slowly coming back to consciousness but it was taking longer than I expected. I could feel my head pounding hard as I slowly opened my eyes. The light in the room almost blinded me and I was forced to shut them up immediately. I groaned as I tried to move my body but I couldn’t. “Look who’s finally awake,” I heard a familiar voice say. It was Kiara’s. There was no doubt about it. I opened my eyes slowly again, adapting to the light in the room. When I did, I looked around my surroundings. Before me sat my brother, Finn, in King Dane’s chair. I was surprised at the audacity he had. Coming in here and acting like he owned the place on multiple occasions was embarrassing. I never thought that defending my brother up to this point would make him disgrace himself like this. If King Dane caught him, he would be dead. There was no doubt about that. Standing by the chair was
