Chapter 149

Martha’s POV

I listened to the complaints of most of the elders as they talked about the new drugs which had been raging through each town. It was said these new drugs had the ability to make people get stronger with each passing minute.

This was called the miracle drug. I had to make sure to avoid getting hit by someone drinking this drug. It would hurt if that happened.

They argued and talked and all I did was listen, but soon I spaced out.

The rest of the day went by without a hitch before I found myself walking home.

While passing through an alley, I found a couple of boys there, trying out the new drug.

“This is going to be a long day,” I sighed before entering the alley to beat them up, threaten them to not try it again and be on my way to the coven after smashing the drug.

I would have liked to call Jane out to see if she was okay but we had to stay away from each other for a while.
