Chapter 109

Jane’s POV

“How did this happen?” I asked with tears in my eyes. I needed my children safe and sound but having to deal with these women who were not giving me what I wanted had me crying.

Those children were my everything. I had gone through hell and back for them.

Coming to the realization of losing them was something I did not get.

I had been gone for a few hours and the people had struck the night of my absence.

I should have stayed.

I had a bad feeling before I left the pack. Maybe it was the fact that I had not been away from the children before but I should have stayed.

“We were ambushed,” Martha sighed. “We tried our best to hold back the threat and gave the children to Victoria and Gail. Indigo created spells for the door as did I before we left. We wanted them to be safe while we dealt with the enemy.

“However, we didn’t know the enemies would climb up the window and attack from behind. By the time we were done dealing with the threats, we rushed into the room to see Victori
