‘How can I help?” He sat back in his chair.

“You knew about me and Alyssa, didn’t you?” I asked him and he nodded his head, sitting back on his high chair as I nodded my head.

“I might have known it, but how is that any of my concern? If people want to be sleeping with each other, I have no business getting involved,” he replied with a smile on his face.

“Emery, Don’t tell me you didn’t know that”

“Well, I might have felt a presence, but I wasn’t sure that it could be him. I mean, he changes every single time and—“

“A hybrid penetrates through your security and you are taking it lightly? I find it hard to believe,” I retorted, and he leaned forward on the desk, clasping his hands.

“What exactly are you trying to say?”

“What I am saying, your majesty, is the fact that vampires attacked me in your pack. Your security could have detected it soon, and you did nothing about it,” I said to him and he sighed heavily, looking at me.

“I don’t know about that.
