AMANISA’S POV

Curtis ran past me.

My heart beat loudly against my chest as I walked in after him.

My eyes were trained on Curtis's frame and I forgot to admire the decorations on the field. Neither did I take a moment to appreciate the organization of the werewolves and Lycans.

“What is the problem, Gamma Curtis?”

Kovan questioned and my ears didn't miss the hushed sobs that Curtis was trying hard to hide as he knelt before Kovan. Violet was sitting beside Kovan on a throne… she has a few steps to take before she would take the real throne though.

“Look at that devilish smile on her face, Ama.”

Arla pointed out to me just as Ava pointed to my seat. I saw Sophie settling on the seat beside mine and I rolled my eyes. Would I ever be able to get rid of her?

“I don't want to look her in the eyes, Arla. I might lose my mind if I do.”

I said to my Lycan spirit and walked to my seat. Gamma Curtis was still finding it hard to catch his breath. Was he this shaken because he found a family

AMANISA’S POV“Should I be terrified?” I asked again, adding, “Should I be worried about being framed or that someone has planted something or someone in my quarters without my knowledge?” “There is no need to waste time by chit-chatting, Lady Amanisa. The Lycan King will decide what to do.” Violet backed off when she realized that I had caught on to her game. She always knew how to start but never had a good ending. I would finish this game for her and she would regret stepping on my tail.Kovan cleared his throat and I knew he would allow the search to be carried out. He would say his hands are tied as the king when he was still affectionate towards me but now, I was certain he would make that decision willingly.“There would be no need for the search.” To my surprise, Kovan announced. My eyes cut to his but he wasn't looking at me, he was staring straight ahead, into the crowd as if he was searching for someone. “But, My King. We have to search to find out the truth. We can–”

KING ARCHIE’S POV“It has happened again?”I exclaimed, jolting off my throne like I had been electrocuted. I might not be electrocuted but I have been shocked regardless. My eyes burned with rage as I waited for the man kneeling before me to disregard the news he just broke to me. My hands clenched on the handrest of the throne and yet again, sorrow filled me… plus fear. I should be scared. If my allies were falling every day by day then I should be scared. I should be terrified. This had always been the first step to war in the history of my kind. I should be scared because a war would end the years of peace I had managed to achieve. If care weren't taken, it would be the end of everything and me. “Beta Timothy. Tell me you aren't here to tell me something has happened to any of the members of the house of Betas.”I pressed for an answer while the head of the house of Beta whimpered before me like he had lost someone dear to him. AMANISA’S POVIt wasn't me. I wasn't the killer. Not just this once but every time, I have been beaten to it. It wasn't me.“I am happy someone is doing the dirty job and for once, you aren't being dragged into it.” Arla expressed her satisfaction but I couldn't share the same views with her. I hated the fact that whoever was the real killer was taking the fun away from me. It should be my fight. Killing those people could have been my way to find peace. However, my peace has been stolen once again. “Why do I feel like at the end of the day, I will be the one in the middle?”I had been doubting that Violet was the one behind the other killings. She doesn't have the balls to keep killing people. More than seven families have died… that was so not Violet. “The Beta family that was killed is the same as the one I have set my eyes on, Arla. this has been happening repeatedly. Do you think someone has been reading my mind? How could that even be?”I asked my Lycan spirit those questi

I mean, how the hell was she so strong yet tiny like a plank?“Tell me why I shouldn’t suspect her. She was found at the crime scene. She is definitely a suspect now.”I uttered through the mind link to Jay who released an animalistic snort while I picked myself off the ground. I stood eye to eye with the woman that has been everywhere on my mind but never with me for as long as I could remember.I missed her. I missed her eyes. I missed her hair. Her scent. Her juice. All of her was missed by all of me. “I thought so too. You cant suspect someone you have been daydreaming about, Kovan.” Jay pointed out and that was true but seeing Amanisa here meant something. I intentionally made sure I called on every royal worker and all of my men just so the evildoers and the planted mole would wander around and get caught by either Curtis or me.We had

AMANISA’S POVAll of a sudden, I was his home. Tch! He must be delusional to think I would let him have me easily. He has to be kidding. “I am proud of your resistance, Girl!” Arla squalled like a noisy child within me. She was in the best position to know how hard it was to say that simple word- NO.It was even harder to walk away from Kovan despite the emotions in his eyes and the pull my body was feeling. I was being pulled to him even as I walked away. My body was betraying me and I couldn't blame it. It has been craving and yearning for Kovan for the past weeks… it felt like forever. Yet he never came to me or call for me.But all of a sudden, he was referring to me as his home. I could have laughed in his face to show him that he sounded crazy. If I was his house then he wouldn't have abandoned me unless he found a new house. He wouldn't have been away for so long unless he was living within another wall. “Within Violet walls.” Arla spelled out and I nearly choked as I pic

AMANISA’S POVHis robe and my dress hit the floor. Our eyes burn into each other’s souls. Our breaths mixed… we shared them like we shared our bodies. Our hands roam each other's bodies endlessly. We exchange bodily fluids as he parted my feminine core with his hard manhood. It happened so fast. The flame of desire, lust, and passionate convection flared and grew out of control before I could stop myself from pulling his face towards me and kissing him as hard as he shoved into me.Even if I had the time, I wouldn't have rejected him again. What happened earlier taught me a big lesson. The pleasure was better than that pain and I wouldn't want to ever put myself in the position again despite not understanding the cause of the pain. Kovan rode my insides and I was enjoying it at first until I recalled perceiving his ejaculation and Violet’s arousal in the same space. The deep kiss I was enjoying before began to irritate me and I pushed Kovan away from me at the speed of light. “Ou

KING ARCHIE’S POV“And that’s how you make a woman speechless!”Jay growled with pride. He knew I was serious about my confession yet he made fun of me and Amanisa, on the other hand, kept staring at me like I had become a cute demon. Her lips were parted slightly and her eyes were expressing her shock. “She had no idea? I thought females are good at reading males' emotions. She shouldn't be shocked that I love her, after all, she made me fall in love with her.” I uttered to Jay as I was already feeling stupid. Amanisa wasn't reacting to my confession. She has frozen like an iceberg and the way she stared at me made me feel like I had no right to confess my love to her at the moment. “Say something, Amanisa… I want to hear you speak.” I said to her, standing a step away from her because I wouldn't want her to push me away again. Rejecting me didn't hurt her alone. I felt the anguishing pain as well and I wouldn't want her to feel that again…. I could keep enduring that on our beha

AMANISA’S POV “Ama! Ama! Guess what!” Ava’s voice resonated from the corridors even before she showed her face in my bed chamber. She had been running. I could tell from her disheveled look and her rapid breaths. I jolted off my bed and dropped the historical book I was reading. “What is it now?” I inquired, obviously interested. Ava had always been the one bringing news to me and the past few days, all she had been bringing were bad news. Trust me, I had stopped trying to kill anyone but that didn't stop the killings either. My eyes were still on the goal despite the moment Kovan and I had two days ago. I couldn't trust Kovan to help me find peace anymore. He could abandon me again and I didn't want to start walking in uncontrollable darkness. At this point I was confused. How else do I achieve my goals when someone else was already killing the enemies and killing some of the good families who served my father but also paid allegiance to Kovan? “If it’s another killing, th

AMANISA’S POV*SIX MONTHS LATER* I was a sweaty mess. My senses were heightened and I stared eagerly at Davina who was still standing in between my legs. I was lying on the same bed Davina pointed at when I asked her some hours ago about the bed I was born in.Davina had said, “That one. Your mother had difficulty with you, Queen Isidora. Are you sure you wnat to push her out on the same bed?” I had nodded without hesitating, choosing that bed and that room to push the Princess Of Royal Hills out of my swollen and tired body. Yes, I just delivered my baby girl and I couldn't wait to see her or hold her even though I was still breathless after pushing for hours. My baby decided to come early but that didn't mean she didn't take a lot of hours to show herself to the world after my water broke. “She is here. The Princess has been born!”Davina exclaimed. I let my head fall on the pillow as Davina walked to me with my bloody bundle of happiness. Ava and Rahela were in the delivery r

KING ARCHIE’S POVContrary to my belief, things were going well. The scent of death was hanging in the air the moment we stepped into the room slowly dissipated. Amanisa and Lulu held their Mom for minutes and we all saw the former Queen heal at the hands of her daughters. Jay questioned, “All they had to do was touch her?” As if Rahela could hear my Lycan Beast, she repeated the same question but audibly, “All we had to do was make her two daughters touch her together?”Davina simply gasped, shocked that her sister was showing signs of life. Lulu answered Rahela’s question, “We have to do more than that, Rahela and that’s where you all come in.” Lulu went ahead to explain that this wasn't how their mom would recover. She also mentioned that she believed that the moment she and Amanisa take their hands off their mom, she would return to her vegetative state… her health might also deteriorate quickly. Since Lulu was knowledgeable, no one questioned her or how she knew what to do.

AMANISA’S POVMy story– our story wasn't getting sadder. At least, I couldn't see it becoming more sad. There was no way I would allow it even though I could feel it in my gut that a lot could still go wrong. Davina said it, in fact. She said my mother was dying… Right after I found the perfect sister, I also realized that my mom has been living in pain for twelve years. What was I saying? This could get worse and very sad. I mean, how was I supposed to be the strong sister when Lulu was breaking as we walked to the forbidden first room? How was I supposed to not break when I was going to see my mom who has been suffering alone and in pain all these years? How would I stay strong when I walked in to see life leaving my Mom’s eyes? It could get worse and I could see myself breaking without restraint. I had a sister to shield but—“No one will stop you from breaking, Ama. You have been strong for many years and you have suffered greatly too. Take the break if you want it.”Arla voi

KING ARCHIE’S POVEver since Amanisa asked Davina about her Mom and younger sister, I had been in shock. Coupled with Amanisa being unconscious for days, I was partially a curious living dead. I’d asked questions from Davina but she refused to say a word concerning my concerns and Lulu had been sticking around for the past thirty hours for reasons I didn't know until she revealed that she was Amanisa’s sister… The same sister that I kept wondering how she could exist. I mean, I had never heard of a second child of Queen Idalia and her mate. But from the look on Davina's face, it sank in that there was still so much I needed to know about my mate. Amanisa was shocked as well and Rahela and her girls were equally shocked as Lulu wept her heart out in Amanisa’s arms– a place I wanted to be but couldn't be at the moment. Jay etched, “I can’t believe this. Lulu is her little sister and her mom, Queen Idalia who we all thought was late is alive and in the next room to us…”Yes.. that w

AMANISA’S POVThe first voice I heard belonged to Kovan. I didn't realize how long I had been out but I heard my mate’s voice first. Kovan etched, “You still won’t tell me what she was referring to before she passed out?”Obviously, Kovan was speaking to Davina whose presence could be felt as my eyes fluttered open. My eyes met with Lulu’s sad eyes the moment they opened and the little but grown girl gasped as her eyes widened. I smiled at her and her lips trembled which made me wonder why she was so sad. That was unlike her.Davina responded to Kovan before she realized that I was awake, “I can’t say anything until Amanisa wakes up. I am sorry, My King.” “You don’t have to be sorry, Aunt Davina. I am already awake so you can begin.”I let out breathlessly. As their eyes shifted to me, I winced. My neck was still aching which meant that I had not fully healed from Byron’s tight hold. How long was I out for exactly?“Amanisa!”“Ama!”Davina and Kovan exclaimed simultaneously. Both o

Byron, on the other hand, kept yelling to get the Gammas to obey him but after I had announced that Kovan doesn't have to beg or listen to Byron anymore, Byron lost the little power he had over everyone.“Now!”Davina declared and with the little breath I had left, I pushed my hands upward, grabbing Byron’s ugly face. “What the fuck do you think you are doing? Do you have an immediate death wish–”Byron cussed at me but the sudden splash of water on his body cut his irritating voice off. Byron yelled at the healers behind me, “What did you do that for?”Lulu’s soft voice broke out, responding, “You will find out in three, two, one…”I didn't let Lulu finish counting before I dug my fingers into Byron’s eyes and immediately, Byron screamed, not just because of my attack but because of the effect of the cleansing water as well. His hold on my neck loosened.“Ahhh.”Violet gasped loudly, jumping away from Byron when she reali

AMANISA’S POVPlease… Just two minutes, Kovan… I need two minutes to save you… to save us all from his clutches.“Bury me alive, Curtis… Do it now.”Kovan’s voice still found a way to hit my eardrums even though I was literarily dying from Byron’s tight hold. His palms were big enough for one of them to wrap around my neck, choking me, and restricting me without him breaking a sweat.“You are almost there, Isidora… Please don’t give up.”Davina’s voice spread in my mind. I could feel myself getting drained. Although the energy I was trying to move from Byron’s chest had been pulled up to his throat or somewhere around that part of his body, I could still fail. But I couldn't let myself fail… I had too many people counting on me. “I think it’s time we move to the tomb. I mean you can’t miss this, Baby.”Violet whispered sweetly which would have made me cringe if I wasn't losing my strength slowly. Byron chuckled, “I can't be there while they bury him. Tradition says that while he

KING ARCHIE’S POVSomething wasn't right. I could feel it in my guts that something was wrong with how fast Amanisa struck my demonic cousin down.“To be honest, he doesn't seem to be breathing well at the moment.” Jay pointed out. “But the knockdown was too easy.”Davina countered, “You don't understand how strong Princess Isidora is right now. Aside from releasing her unused energy, we have shared our energy with her and also weakened the demon. This isn't strange at all, My King.”I begged to differ but Lulu voiced, “We don't have the time to argue. That beast’s energy is getting stronger by the second. Drain him now, Amanisa.”I could hear Lulu’s conviction and fear. She was a child that should be protected from this scene. When did she get here?“We will help you before he bounces back stronger--”Rahela uttered, making me realize that even though Amanisa struck Byron in his demonic state, he had the tendency of regaining his power quickly. And Byron could become stronger with ev
