KING ARCHIE’S POV

My heart stopped beating yet my legs found their way through the water and through the heap of rusty leaves. I beat myself for putting Amanisa on my back which was more like I used her body as a shield to protect myself.

Again, I blamed myself for Amanisa’s discomfort and I lost myself the moment she inhaled deeply and exhaled without taking in another. Yet, my legs hurried to get her to safety.

She couldn't be dead…

However, I couldn't be sure.

With all she had to endure during the past few days, coupled with the lost blood that sipped out of her body through her thigh, it wouldn't be shocking if her body give up completely.

Also, I couldn't be sure that the arrows that were shot by the mysterious attackers that had their faces covered and scent masked when they approach my men and me, weren't poisoned… what kind of poison would it be if they had laced the arrows? What effect would the poison have on Amanisa’s deteriorating health?

I was losing my mind.

KING ARCHIE’S POV“How is she here?” I blurted out, still holding my women because I wasn't sure the petite woman had good intentions. Her facial expression was hostile to me just like the rest of her people. Was that disdain in her eyes or was she confused just like I was? “You can relax and lay your women down, Lycan King Archie–” “Not until I am sure that healer isn't going to kill them to avenge those that her people are loyal to.”I seethed. My voice was malicious as it accuse the house of healers because the petite woman was one of them.., she smelled like them and the color of her iris showed that she was… only healers have white iris… only them. Although, Amanisa exhibited that special trait last night when she was sitting on the Moon Throne. “I might look like a healer and I should even say that I am a healer like you have assumed…” The petite woman uttered. She spoke out even before Alpha Cale could and she also exhibited the strong traits that I knew all healers to hav

AMANISA’S POV“... don't stop running, Princess… don't!” One of the voices that had always made me feel safe said to me but hearing it now unsettled my foggy mind. Intense vibrations could be felt attacking my head as if the feet of a thousand army were marching energetically and with determination to break every bone in my head… “We have to return…” I heard myself saying in my daze. The marching Army in my head had suddenly become a reality and I could hear the sound of the feet drawing closer despite all attempts to escape…I didn't want to escape though… I could feel my heart tearing because there was something or was it someone that I had left behind…. I was being dragged by him, my father’s trusted warrior… Gamma Yuri. He was with me… but why? He should be dead… he was dead already.I had heard him let out a deadly cry many years ago before I was pushed into the portal by him with the Royal Key stuck between my clenched fist. This has to be another one of those dreams… the r

KING ARCHIE’S POV“We should fight back, My king. We should make him understand that you were crowned for many reasons.”Ardin pushed his case forward as we both left the quarters of the Lywolves that had been sacrificed for my Lycan Gammas for the sake of their recovery process.“That would make me a careless King, Ardin. There are many loopholes that we need to fill before marching to NightShade Pack.”I retorted with a heavy heart. A heart that has been heavy for the past two days as it awaited the recovery of the two women that mean everything to it… I had been living with a heavy heart since Amanisa fell asleep that day and Rahela told me that she wouldn't be up for another three days.As if that wasn't enough, my mother’s healing process didn't go as planned. There were many complications and she had also been in a vegetative state for the past two days… of course, I offered to make use of my royal blood to speed up the process but Rahela advised that I shouldn't. “But we have

AMANISA’S POV My inside was quivering. My breaths were deep… Too deep for comfort and my senses were heightened too. And there was this unexplainable void I felt upon opening my eyes but it grew stronger right after Kovan detached himself from me without listening to my plea. My plea to return to where his life and mine have been endangered. His eyes were soulless when he stared at me, creating self-pity within me. He wasn't looking at me with those affections that I had gotten used to… He came off like a stranger and that hurt like hell. I wouldn't have admitted that if the hurt wasn't unbearable. Although I felt revived and stronger than I have ever been for the past few days, I still didn't like how I was feeling and I believed that it was because I had left my dress in the NightShade pack: The moon dress completed me like it was made by the moon goddess herself and I wanted it back. “Mom.” Kovan whispered back to the woman I saved and he hugged her gently to my displeasure.

KING ARCHIE’S POV One was A letter from home. It was sealed with my royal seal yet not written by me. The second was A mysterious letter from an anonymous person… Yet addressed to me. Before their arrival, I had launched my investigation by questioning my mom but I was yet to get an answer and now I had letters to read. Letters that might further destroy or rebuild all that had crumbled around me. “That was delivered by a raven while the other one was fired with an arrow.” Alpha Cale clarified which explained the hole at the top of the black letter. The other letter must have been sent by someone from the house of Ravens and the only member of that house that could access my seal was no other person but My Chosen Mate. “What does she want?” Jay queried as I tore the seal open and began to read the letter. “My King. Greetings to you and I do hope this letter meets you well. I have done all I could according to the right that you bestowed on me before your departure. The thro

AMANISA’S POV “Do you like him?” My eyes widened as I gently turned my head to the speaker of those words… the same woman that I had pulled out of the cold water back at NightShade pack. I actually knew what she was referring to and who she meant when she asked that question, yet my eyes widened and I almost choked on my saliva. “I c-can-t…” “Feel free to talk with me, Amanisa. We should be bonding, remember?” Kovan’s mom, the former queen, and wife of the man that took my father’s throne after he and my mom were brutally murdered. That same woman was who I had pulled out of the water. I saved one of my enemies and now she is asking me with a smile if I like her son… the man that was occupying my throne at the moment. “You can tell me anything.” She wasn't giving up even though my mouth remained tight. “I can't like him, your Royal–” “I am no longer that, Ama. She should be proud of herself.”Jay said sarcastically. Maybe I should have made it clearer that I didn't want anyone to know that I left Royal Hills but even if I did, the activities of the past few days would have announced to the Lycans of Royal Hills that their King was touring the Wereland to find his lost mom.Despite all the challenges that I had faced these past few days, I was just glad that my mom was fine and that Amanisa didn't lose her life. I had lost the bond between us but thankfully, I still had her.“That's worth celebrating so I guess we shouldn

I made that decision after I realized that nothing good would come out of getting involved in unnecessary drama with anyone upon my arrival in Royal Hills.I was still nursing my broken heart or should I say broken bond? AMANISA’S POV*SIX MONTHS LATER* I was a sweaty mess. My senses were heightened and I stared eagerly at Davina who was still standing in between my legs. I was lying on the same bed Davina pointed at when I asked her some hours ago about the bed I was born in.Davina had said, “That one. Your mother had difficulty with you, Queen Isidora. Are you sure you wnat to push her out on the same bed?” I had nodded without hesitating, choosing that bed and that room to push the Princess Of Royal Hills out of my swollen and tired body. Yes, I just delivered my baby girl and I couldn't wait to see her or hold her even though I was still breathless after pushing for hours. My baby decided to come early but that didn't mean she didn't take a lot of hours to show herself to the world after my water broke. “She is here. The Princess has been born!”Davina exclaimed. I let my head fall on the pillow as Davina walked to me with my bloody bundle of happiness. Ava and Rahela were in the delivery r

KING ARCHIE’S POVContrary to my belief, things were going well. The scent of death was hanging in the air the moment we stepped into the room slowly dissipated. Amanisa and Lulu held their Mom for minutes and we all saw the former Queen heal at the hands of her daughters. Jay questioned, “All they had to do was touch her?” As if Rahela could hear my Lycan Beast, she repeated the same question but audibly, “All we had to do was make her two daughters touch her together?”Davina simply gasped, shocked that her sister was showing signs of life. Lulu answered Rahela’s question, “We have to do more than that, Rahela and that’s where you all come in.” Lulu went ahead to explain that this wasn't how their mom would recover. She also mentioned that she believed that the moment she and Amanisa take their hands off their mom, she would return to her vegetative state… her health might also deteriorate quickly. Since Lulu was knowledgeable, no one questioned her or how she knew what to do.

AMANISA’S POVMy story– our story wasn't getting sadder. At least, I couldn't see it becoming more sad. There was no way I would allow it even though I could feel it in my gut that a lot could still go wrong. Davina said it, in fact. She said my mother was dying… Right after I found the perfect sister, I also realized that my mom has been living in pain for twelve years. What was I saying? This could get worse and very sad. I mean, how was I supposed to be the strong sister when Lulu was breaking as we walked to the forbidden first room? How was I supposed to not break when I was going to see my mom who has been suffering alone and in pain all these years? How would I stay strong when I walked in to see life leaving my Mom’s eyes? It could get worse and I could see myself breaking without restraint. I had a sister to shield but—“No one will stop you from breaking, Ama. You have been strong for many years and you have suffered greatly too. Take the break if you want it.”Arla voi

  • The Lycan King's Hot Sin   142. A Curious Living Dead

KING ARCHIE’S POVEver since Amanisa asked Davina about her Mom and younger sister, I had been in shock. Coupled with Amanisa being unconscious for days, I was partially a curious living dead. I’d asked questions from Davina but she refused to say a word concerning my concerns and Lulu had been sticking around for the past thirty hours for reasons I didn't know until she revealed that she was Amanisa’s sister… The same sister that I kept wondering how she could exist. I mean, I had never heard of a second child of Queen Idalia and her mate. But from the look on Davina's face, it sank in that there was still so much I needed to know about my mate. Amanisa was shocked as well and Rahela and her girls were equally shocked as Lulu wept her heart out in Amanisa’s arms– a place I wanted to be but couldn't be at the moment. Jay etched, “I can’t believe this. Lulu is her little sister and her mom, Queen Idalia who we all thought was late is alive and in the next room to us…”Yes.. that w

AMANISA’S POVThe first voice I heard belonged to Kovan. I didn't realize how long I had been out but I heard my mate’s voice first. Kovan etched, “You still won’t tell me what she was referring to before she passed out?”Obviously, Kovan was speaking to Davina whose presence could be felt as my eyes fluttered open. My eyes met with Lulu’s sad eyes the moment they opened and the little but grown girl gasped as her eyes widened. I smiled at her and her lips trembled which made me wonder why she was so sad. That was unlike her.Davina responded to Kovan before she realized that I was awake, “I can’t say anything until Amanisa wakes up. I am sorry, My King.” “You don’t have to be sorry, Aunt Davina. I am already awake so you can begin.”I let out breathlessly. As their eyes shifted to me, I winced. My neck was still aching which meant that I had not fully healed from Byron’s tight hold. How long was I out for exactly?“Amanisa!”“Ama!”Davina and Kovan exclaimed simultaneously. Both o

AMANISA’S POV“Two…”Davina let out through the mind link. Byron, on the other hand, kept yelling to get the Gammas to obey him but after I had announced that Kovan doesn't have to beg or listen to Byron anymore, Byron lost the little power he had over everyone.“Now!”Davina declared and with the little breath I had left, I pushed my hands upward, grabbing Byron’s ugly face. “What the fuck do you think you are doing? Do you have an immediate death wish–”Byron cussed at me but the sudden splash of water on his body cut his irritating voice off. Byron yelled at the healers behind me, “What did you do that for?”Lulu’s soft voice broke out, responding, “You will find out in three, two, one…”I didn't let Lulu finish counting before I dug my fingers into Byron’s eyes and immediately, Byron screamed, not just because of my attack but because of the effect of the cleansing water as well. His hold on my neck loosened.“Ahhh.”Violet gasped loudly, jumping away from Byron when she reali

AMANISA’S POVPlease… Just two minutes, Kovan… I need two minutes to save you… to save us all from his clutches.“Bury me alive, Curtis… Do it now.”Kovan’s voice still found a way to hit my eardrums even though I was literarily dying from Byron’s tight hold. His palms were big enough for one of them to wrap around my neck, choking me, and restricting me without him breaking a sweat.“You are almost there, Isidora… Please don’t give up.”Davina’s voice spread in my mind. I could feel myself getting drained. Although the energy I was trying to move from Byron’s chest had been pulled up to his throat or somewhere around that part of his body, I could still fail. But I couldn't let myself fail… I had too many people counting on me. “I think it’s time we move to the tomb. I mean you can’t miss this, Baby.”Violet whispered sweetly which would have made me cringe if I wasn't losing my strength slowly. Byron chuckled, “I can't be there while they bury him. Tradition says that while he

KING ARCHIE’S POVSomething wasn't right. I could feel it in my guts that something was wrong with how fast Amanisa struck my demonic cousin down.“To be honest, he doesn't seem to be breathing well at the moment.” Jay pointed out. “But the knockdown was too easy.”Davina countered, “You don't understand how strong Princess Isidora is right now. Aside from releasing her unused energy, we have shared our energy with her and also weakened the demon. This isn't strange at all, My King.”I begged to differ but Lulu voiced, “We don't have the time to argue. That beast’s energy is getting stronger by the second. Drain him now, Amanisa.”I could hear Lulu’s conviction and fear. She was a child that should be protected from this scene. When did she get here?“We will help you before he bounces back stronger--”Rahela uttered, making me realize that even though Amanisa struck Byron in his demonic state, he had the tendency of regaining his power quickly. And Byron could become stronger with ev

That fact has been established even before I set my eyes on the new Byron. But was I still doing this regardless of my fear?Again, Yes. There was no other option. Everyone here is looking up to me. I was their hope and I wasn't about to fail them. Therefore, I swallowed my fear and declare, “Let's get the funeral started.”Seeing how fast Byron was growing, the healers wasted no time after my declaration. They started chanting. My eyes caught sight of Lulu amidst them. She was also chanting with her hands stretched toward the cell. I was terrified that a young child li
