Chapter Thirty

VALERIAN’S POV

Valerian had long theorized that it was the lure of the werewolves ability that led to the abduction attempt by Pane some years back, and they never learned what he did with the wolves he was able to capture by surprise but shutting the company he worked for down put them all at ease.

In a gathering, it wasn't unusual to have wolves present who weren't known to all.

The scents they tracked down in Hercules's place were similar to some of the attacks in Red Sun Hill and I wanted to know who was responsible for betraying their kind and sinking my teeth in their necks. My instincts were telling him the same traitors were responsible for all of it.

"Your measures are extremely impressive. I'm going to focus on the lesser-known ways to enter Red Fern and patrols. My team works well with strange wolves, but I think we know each other well enough to get along without issue."
