Meeting Halfway

Harper was relieved to get a reply from Shahila on the detailed address of the camp. She almost got sad that she dropped her call a little while ago.

After taking note of the address mentally, she handed the phone back to the kind student. She deleted the message as well as the call records.

“Thank you for your kindness. I owe you one.” – she said and the student placed the phone back to her small duffel bag.

“Anytime. So did you have your address?”

Harper nodded. She no longer needed her help. She had been traveling to the city half her life. The transportation wasn’t a part of her problem.
