Kian's POV Looking out through the tinted glass, I didn't even know when we arrived at the Thorn pack. I sighed striding out of the car and walking straight into the pack house. I will say that the pack is a busy place, fully crowded. Sometimes I wonder how Daemon is able to control them and still rule the whole of the other hundred packs out there. Anyways that's not why I am here, I proceed to where I was heading, not minding the lustful eyes of the female passing through the hallway, and trust me I'm enjoying every bit of them. It's not my fault that I am hot and can't easily be resisted. "Hey, Alpha Kian," I heard someone say behind me, startling me from my thoughts. I turned to see Sheila standing behind me, she looks stunning though for some strange feelings I don't fancy her. This is unlike me. I scrunched my brow suspiciously at her, she looked so innocent like she couldn't hurt a fly though the deadly smirk on her lips didn't go unnoticed. What was I expecting?
Daemon's POV I have sent Wilfred to go remind Rhea about the invite, I don't just want anything that will stop her from coming. I couldn't take her that day because of one thing_ it was the first time that she was begging me for something. I'm a cold hardened monster but around her, I seem to be powerless and vulnerable. But today I have taken out my time to arrange and decorate my office. Trying to make everything special for her entrance, with the help of my secret spy I find out about her favorite color. I remodeled my office, repainting the walls from white to her favorite blue color. Room decoration could be better but I know that having her visit me in the room will make her uncomfortable, so I decided to take the risk and do it in my office. Setting in wall lighting and floor lamps around the office room with a rose flower sprinkled on the floor from the door straight inside the room. I needed her to feel the bond, I wanted her to feel the connection that we both po
Daemon's POV Fuck it! Cursing I kept smashing the flower vases on the wall, yanking down the wall lighting, and having them pieces on the floor. I punched the wall hard, growling in the process, my head feels like it is pulling away. This is just not me... Why can't I just have her? Why does having her seem hard to accomplish? Ahh! I stamped hard on the lighting candles on the floor, causing them to break into two slides. Holding the chairs there, I continued damaging and shattering everything in anger till Sam rushed and held me from behind. "So tell me why Kian is here instead of the wife?" Sam demanded, yelling while paying deaf ears as if he didn't hear when I said that I wanted to be left alone. "And what did he mean by business discussion, I thought that you invited Luna Rhea so tell me why he is here?" He asked and that made me turn around to face him. He stared at me dead in the eyes in determination while demanding answers but I instantly hurled my stare bac
Mercy's POV As I scanned around the lone hallway that led outside the packhouse, there was no single soul. My heart was pounding so fast as I quickened my steps, I needed to get to the Thorn pack before daybreak. And suddenly I started feeling a presence behind me causing fear to grip hold of me. "Mercy," I swirled around and my deep forest eyes fell on the figure. I gulped hard, holding my breath. "My Luna," I stuttered, biting hard on my lips. I just pray that she doesn't notice my fraying nerves. "Hmmm," she nodded, her gaze staring me up and down, "Where are you going?" I stilled, finding it hard to breathe in the air. "Mercy," she called, her voice lowered, "Yes... Luna," I looked fluttered, swallowing hard. I composed myself. "I'm going to my room," I groaned at myself, is this the only lie that I can come up with? Her brow creased up in a questioning manner, "But this is not the direction to your room or are you hiding anything from me?" "Oh! Not really my L
Mercy's POV Meanwhile, I watched Luna Rhea step closer to Lila who started all this with elegance and confidence causing Lila to turn pale instantly, "And you, Lila," she pointed at her and scrunches her nose in disgust before continuing, "You will always remain below me," Right after making that statement, Luna Rhea stepped away from her and walked away. I watched in awe how Lila suddenly seemed taken back after the failure of her futile attempts of intimidating Luna Rhea. Clearing my throat, I flash her a mockery stare before stepping away, leaving her all alone in the empty hallway. Being mated to Gamma Wilfred doesn't make her superior to Luna Rhea, but she will always remain below her. Luna Rhea might have just said those words but in reality, she will always remain higher than Lila and I will do everything in my power to ensure that it happens but first of all, I need to get to the Thorn Pack. Huh, interesting, Lila, you don't know what is in for you! Wearing a long
Mercy's POV "MATE," For a few seconds, I couldn't move away from my spot. I was taken back for a moment before my eye swept back to him. As I tried to absorb what I just heard... from the look and his aura, I know that he is definitely a Lycan. Am I mated to a Lycan? As a Lycan! "Mine," this single syllable barked out was enough to pull me out of my trances. Lifting my head, I noticed the twinkle in his eyes. "As in… mate? Who..are you?" I stammered as I noticed his lips stretched out in a straight line. A pleasant smile danced around the bottom of his lips. "Well, sorry for not introducing myself," he chuckled while still staring at me. My palms grew a little clammy as I clutched my clothes tight, it was probably due to my fraying nerves, I guess. "I'm..." He had merely two words to say when suddenly his phone rang abruptly interrupting the moment. "Hey, man, what's up?" His gaze, not leaving my side as he answered the call. Standing on my spot, I kept fidg
Rhea's POV Sitting peacefully on the sofa in front of my dressing mirror, I continued with my makeup. Since Kian has made it mandatory to frustrate me by locking me up here. All my attempts to break free seem futile and unsuccessful. Still sitting down on my sofa, I heard a commotion from outside. Surprisingly the voices were loud and way uncomfortable for me. Approaching the door, I pulled my door, twisting the handle in thought that a miracle might happen but just as always it was locked up from the outside. I leaned my back against the door, my heart skipped a bit, strange that's unusual what is happening out there. I can hear the heavy footsteps of the warriors rushing down the hallway and that also widened my curiosity. I feel restless because it was more like I have already invested everything in myself, both love, attention and every single thing of my life in this pack's welfare so their safety worries me. Signing, I swirled my head around thinking of the next p
Rhea's POV My gaze widened, and I quickly took a quick look around before snarling at him, "Just stop it," I snapped only to his hearing. "Hmmm..." He blinks at my words before letting out a small chuckle. Turning around, he motioned for one of his guards to step forward. "Move her to the car," "Huh!" My eyes went wide. And that makes the crowd erupt in gasps and murmurs. "She is coming with us and that's final," he said before striding out of the place. "What the fuck!" "No," I barked out at him, leaving everyone stunned, including Daemon. "I respect you, King Daemon, but you can't just come to my pack and instruct me to follow you," I oppose his order. "Nice to meet you, Luna, but please can we go?" I was still angry when I suddenly heard one of the guards say this to me, but I just hurled a dangerous glare at him, shutting him up. A frown appeared on my forehead, immediately I noticed Fiona amidst the crowd, as she looked between Daemon and me with co
Rhea's POV "The death of your parents," I retort, unsure of what I just heard. "Yes, who doesn't know the enmity between Clawson pack and Blackwood Pack? And your father killed my parents after getting into a fight with him," he narrated, smirking deadly at me. "I planned to make you pay tenfold for the pains I went through all these years but unfortunately I fall for you," I shook my head at him, and for once after the months tears slid down my face. I can't believe that I have lived all my life back then loving this monster! The fight was between the two dead parents, what does it have to do with me and besides something must have triggered my father into killing his father. He instantly yank my head by the side, "He still hasn't marked her," he said. "So we still have a chance," "So what next?" He asked. "You decided, either you kill her or eloped with her," he nodded at her and turned to look at me. "I will prefer to end us," I lift my head to look at him. "I will
Daemon's POV "They.... took her away," "Do you know where they want to go?" He is already slipping away. "Where did they take her?!" I shook him, by gaze pleading for him to say a word. "The cave.... " "Yes, which of the caves?" "The cave..." "Oh! Shit… Come one," I heard Sam curse under his breath. "Look we are here to save Luna Rhea so tell us which cave did you hear them say?" Wilfred said to him as he shook his shoulders. "The... waterfall," his head tilted instantly to the other side and I knew that he was gone. "Waterfall," I murmured, sounding confused. The guards exchanged a confused look, "Waterfall," Wilfred repeated the word. "Wait...!" We all turned to face Sam, "I think I understand what he is saying," he mumbled. "I think he means the hidden cave beside the waterfall," "Cabe beside the waterfall," my face caressed in confusion, "Which waterfall?" "The one you know," he let out. "We only have one waterfall," "Yes, that's it," Sam nodded
Rhea's POV We all screamed the last word and instantly transformed into our wolves rushing toward the rogues, the fight began and howls and cries were heard. Despite being just five our fighting skills are impressive though we can never outnumber them, the more we kill the more another set of rogues crawl out from the trees around there. I jumped on the nearest rogue beside me and quickly pulled out his heart while biting off the other rogue with my sharp teeth. The fight lasted for a while and nobody from the pack arrived. My warriors are getting weak, I watched in horror as the rogues were pulling out their hearts and killing them all in that spot. It was just the remaining two and they rushed to my side, "What should we do? These rogues are much," I gulped when looking at the other rogues, despite having killed some but those remaining were still much. "Not giving up," I said to them as we all rushed back to the fight. The warriors are already tired and it wasn't tha
Rhea's POV "You must have put a lot of effort into making this," I said to him. He reached for the wine and poured it into our glasses. "Anything for you," he winked when taking a sip from his glass. "Never pictured you as a romantic type," I chuckled, "Yeah you are right I am not a romantic type," we both laughed. After that we never talked and continued with the food, I can feel the tension building up within us. I kept stealing glances from each other, I wanted to move toward his side and into him but I feel so glued to my spot to even move up. After lunch, we joked and played around for a while. We were having so much fun when suddenly the weather changed, signaling that it was going to rain. So Daemon decided that we head back to the pack, I wasn't all that happy but he was right we have nowhere to clash if it started raining so I followed him. Once we reached the pack I walked back to the room, I guess it is now our room. I was about to close the door when suddenly it
Rhea's POV Realization dawned on me as I continued to stare in that direction that I once saw him, so we weren't mates after all and he lied to me. But he gave me a mark, "That wasn't a real mark though I am glad that I have finally reconnected with you," I have a lot on my mind that I paid less attention to her words, Daemon stepped forward and touched my fur. I felt sparks shot through my whole body, so he has always been my mate all this while. I watched Eleanor lean into his touch as he pats her head and kisses her face. He was rubbing my furs and back, trying to calm me a bit down... He sure knows what I need right now. The moon slowly went back and I transformed back to my human form. Daemon held me before I could make it to the ground. I think I will get used to transforming back from human to wolf. Going around naked is nothing to werewolves though Daemon shades my naked body away from people seeing it. I suddenly went shy under his lustful stares. He pulled out h
Rhea's POV But the feeling inside me was restless, my heart feels so heavy and I know the only thing to stop it is fresh air, and inside here were all locked up. Breeze is not coming from anywhere, the room is so dark that you can hardly see anything. I think that I need to open the window or create a hole for the breeze to enter. If not I will suffocate in here. My whole body was heating up and it felt like I was trapped inside a burning flame. Managing to place my palms on the bed, I crawled out and started looking for the window. Pushing some objects alone to the floor and my toes hit some hard objects but the pain inside me was so much that I didn't even notice that I hit my leg on anything. I started taking it slowly till I found the window, I pulled on it but it was locked up. I groaned in annoyance, what do I do... What should I do? Ahh!! The pain was getting too much, so I rushed toward the door banging loudly on it. My bones felt like it was on fire, I cried out an
Daemon's POV Once I was done with whatever I was doing in the office, I stride back to my cabin. It was already night and last as well. I am sure that Rhea would have gone to bed. Reaching the front of my cabin, I noticed the guards that I have assigned her standing fit at the door, on seeing me they were all both submissively. I pushed the door and entered inside but to my utmost surprise, Rhea was not on the bed. This is late. She should be in bed sleeping. "Mate!" I called out thinking that she might just be in the latrine but got no response. I got worried and walked toward the latrine, I pushed the door open and noticed that she wasn't there. I went to the closet and she was not there either. I panicked, where could she be by this time of the night? But her guards are out there which means that she might be here somewhere... But where? I spun around to scan the room and suddenly I felt the cold wind hit my face, it was chilling outside and the window was open. Wait!
Mercy's POV "What do you mean?" Kian asked her, "She will have to take the medication **Sleeping portion** for her wolf before the moon comes out if not the wolf can not be tamed," I gasped, holding my mouth from making any silky sound. So Miss. Bela has been the witch all this while. So she knew about Luna Rhea and had been helping Kian trap it down. This is pure wickedness! "No, I don't want it tamed," "Then what?" She raised a brow at him, "Just kill the goddamn wolf and live her wolfless," "Okay but it is risky, she might die," my heart pondered fast at their conversation. "Do anything but don't let her die," she nodded at him, "One more thing... be fast," he turned around and walked away. I hid behind the pillar as she turned around and scanned the place before entering the kitchen. I slowly tiptoed close to the kitchen and squatted in a way that she couldn't see me before crawling quietly inside. I went close to the nearest down cabinet that was left open and
Mercy's POV I was in the kitchen helping out when the other omegas rushed inside giggling, sounding all excited. Others like me were curious as to why the sudden excitement. This period has been one hell of a thing, no going or entering the pack and at the same time torturing and starving everyone to death just to get Luna Rhea's attention. We all know how she cherishes the pack though I always hope that she doesn't come back here but the news the omegas dropped had my heart flipped up, "She is back," "Who is back?" Someone asked. "Luna Rhea is back!" I instantly froze on my spot, "Our days of suffering are over!!" My mind was no longer in their conversation, how could Daemon allow Luna Rhea to come back? I thought that they were mates and he was supposed to care for her. Yes, I didn't get to tell him about the information that I heard between Sheila and Alpha Kian because he suddenly placed a strict rule that the guards shouldn't grant an exit for any single soul in the p
