Chapter 22

The Lycan's POV:

I casted a spell on her. It was temporary. I would not dare hurt her. She was my mate, remember. The woman the moon goddess had destined for me to have as a partner.

As I walked through the woods, I carried her gently on my arms. We were on our way to the place I was staying. Her alpha's home, I was going to show him the mate I had chosen and maybe do as he had asked.

She was asleep and looked so peaceful. I made sure to let her lay comfortably in my arms, I also avoided the rocky paths so she could sleep soundly.

I did not want her to be stressed. She groaned in her sleep and shrieked sometimes and I found it very cute.

She looked like a helpless kitten, the type I had as a child before it was attacked by my enemy.

"You will be mine" I stroked her chin with my claw. I was gentle so I would not cause her more injuries.
