Kavan
I walked back to the table where Jason was waiting for me in anticipation with my heart pounding in my chest. As soon as I took a seat, Jason leaned in, eager to hear about my encounter with my mate.
"So, did you find her?" he inquired, his voice laced with curiosity.
I had expected him to be curious, seeing as he was the one that had found a way to distract Murad and give Kazia and me a chance to meet.
I could sense the excitement building inside him, and I knew I couldn't keep him waiting any longer. "Yeah, I did," I replied, my voice full of pride.
A smile crept over my face, and I could see Jason's eyes lighting up with excitement. "What's her name?" he asked eagerly.
"Kazia," I replied and the sound of her name sent shivers down my spine.
As soon as I mentioned her name, memories of our encounter flooded my mind. The way her eyes had lit up when she saw me, the way she had stood on her toes to kiss me, the way she had felt when I had held her. It was almost too much to bear.
Jason's eyebrows shot up in surprise and he let out a low whistle. "Man, you look really happy," he commented.
And I was. Happier than I had imagined I could be. But there was still a nagging feeling of worry in the back of my mind.
Jason noticed my expression, his face scrunching up in concern. "What's wrong?" he asked.
I took a deep breath, feeling a sense of doubt and unease welling up within me. "She's a pet, Jason. I don't know if I'll ever see her again after today. And I promised her we would meet again."
"You should have seen her Jason. She was just so beautiful, gentle, and gracious. She was perfect. Better than I would have ever thought," I continued, unable to mask my feelings.
"I can't imagine never seeing her again, Jason but the fact that she is Murad's pet makes the situation complicated,
"Despite my doubt, I couldn't help but talk about Kazia. She was the most beautiful creature I had ever laid eyes on and the way she had looked up at me with such adoration and wonder, I couldn't forget it.
But Jason couldn't resist teasing me. "You've fallen for her, haven't you?" he said with a chuckle.
I opened my mouth to deny it, but the words wouldn't come. I knew it was pointless to try to hide my feelings. "Yeah, I have," I admitted, feeling a warmth spread through me.
"How couldn’t I? She was absolutely beautiful, bro, and her eyes, my god her eyes!"
Jason raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything. He knew how strong the bond between mates could be, even if the situation wasn't ideal.
Suddenly, his expression turned serious. "But how do you plan on seeing her again? She's a pet, Kavan. She's packs away in enemy territory and she belongs to Murad. We both know that he's not going to let her go easily, especially not to you of all people," Jason reminded him.
That was the problem. I knew the situation was complicated, but I couldn't give up on her just like that. "I don't know yet," I admitted. "But I'll figure something out. I have to,"
I knew it was going to be hard, that it would take a great deal of effort and sacrifice. But I was willing to do whatever it took to be with her, my mate.
As long as it was something she wanted, I would do whatever it took.

Kazia
I tried my best to keep a blank expression on my face as I made my way to the table. Although my heart was racing with excitement, I didn't want Murad to suspect anything out of the ordinary so I knew I had to keep a straight face to avoid looking suspicious.
As I got closer to the table, my heart was beating so hard in my chest that I thought it might leap out. I tried my best to hide my smile, but I was too ecstatic, and pretending like I wasn’t was harder than I expected.
I had met my mate, Kavan, and he was everything I could have ever asked for. Everything I would have imagined if I had ever taught of ever finding him.
My happiness was short-lived as I spotted Murad reaching the table before me. Fear gripped my heart, and my stomach twisted into knots. I knew I was in deep trouble and there was nothing I could say or do to get me out of this one
Murad had warned me that I must arrive back at the table before him, or else I'd be punished for not keeping to his time, and knowing him, he wasn’t going to pardon me for not keeping to his instruction.
I prepared myself for the worst as I went to sit down. But before I could even take my seat, Murad grabbed my wrist and yanked me down onto the chair with brute force that left me shaken. I knew what came next, the questions, the threats, the punishments.
I already felt tears forming at the corner of my eyes, but I held them back, refusing to give Murad the satisfaction.
"Where were you?" he demanded, his voice like ice.
"In the bathroom," I said softly, trying to keep my voice steady.
My heart raced as I waited for Murad's answer. It's not that I feared him; it was more like an instinctual reaction that had kept me alive so far and could end my life at any given time if he so pleased.
"You're lying," he spat. "You've been gone far too long. What were you really doing?"
"I got lost," I said quickly. I could feel my cheeks heating up in embarrassment. "I took the wrong turn, and it took me a while to find my way back."
Murad's eyes narrowed, and I knew my response had only made things worse. "You expect me to believe that?" he asked incredulously.
I nodded, keeping my eyes down. "Yes," I whispered.
Murad didn't seem to believe me. "You must think that I'm stupid, Kazia," he hissed, his voice rising.
"I know when you're lying to me and I promise you, when we get back home, I will punish you appropriately for this. You will have only yourself to blame," he added and my entire being shuddered in fear.
My heart sank as his words washed over me. I knew he meant every word and my fear turned into a sense of hopelessness. No matter what, I was trapped in this life with no way out.
And as much as I feared that I could end up living my entire life as one of Murad’s pets, I couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope. Maybe, just maybe, Kavan would find a way to rescue me from this life. Just maybe.
Kazia As we made our way back to the pack, Murad didn't for once look at me or say a word to me and this scared me to the core. I knew his silence could only mean more trouble for me, and I couldn't help but imagine different scenarios of how Murad intended on punishing me.When we arrived back at the palace, Murad instructed the other female servants to take his other pet, who had gone to the meeting with us, to her room, while I was to be taken to his room. On hearing this, my fear heightened as I knew immediately that Murad was going to have his way with me tonight and it wasn't going to be a pleasant experience. The other servants escorted me to Murad's room, and as we entered the room, I couldn't help but feel a chill run down my spine. The room was extremely dark, and everything was so ominous and creepy. Every corner of the room was painted black, and the only source of light came from candles. Chains hung from the walls, and whips and knives were displayed everywhere and i
Kazia I slowly emerged from the depths of sleep, my consciousness gradually taking hold. As I blinked my eyes open, the soft morning light filtered through the curtains, casting a gentle glow across the room. I squinted my eyes gently, trying to gather myself and that was when it hit me. The memories of last night. How I was sexually assaulted by the man who calls himself my owner; Murad. Tears welled up in my eyes as the memories of how he had forcefully had his way with me without caring about the fact that I was inexperienced and in the process, caused me nothing but immense pain and torment. I was busy reeling in my sadness and frustration, trying to force myself to erase the memories from last night until I was abruptly interrupted by a soft knocking on the door."Lady Kazia," a voice called from outside. "It's time to wake up," the voice announced.I groaned angrily, the remnants of exhaustion still clinging to my body and making me weak. I had barely slept the night befor
Kazia Iris kept regarding me with a mixture of curiosity and concern, with her eyes searching mine for answers as we stood in the corridor of the Pet's quarters."So what brought you out of your room, Kazia?" Iris inquired, her voice laced with genuine curiosity. "I thought you weren't feeling well and I honestly wasn’t expecting to catch you out here, roaming when you should be resting up," she added.A soft sigh escaped my lips as I leaned against the wall, seeking a momentary respite from the weight of my own thoughts. "I was feeling rather bored, Lady Iris. Being cooped up in that room, isolated from the world and even proper sunlight, was driving me to the brink of madness. I needed some fresh air to get myself together again and I also wanted to take it as a chance to explore this palace and know my way around," I explained. A flicker of worry passed over Iris' face as she listened to my explanation. "I understand the restlessness, Kazia, but you must be cautious, kid. You
Kavan As I sat in the grand chamber surrounded by my council members, my mind drifted, consumed by thoughts of Kazia, my mate. Knowing that she existed and that I had to deal with being separated from her, weighed heavily upon my heart, and I longed for the day when I could see and hold her in my arms once more. Lost in my reverie, I paid little attention to the discussions unfolding around me.Leo, one of my council members, stood tall, his voice filled with frustration. He spoke at length, his words a blur in my distracted state. It was only when Jason, my ever-vigilant Beta, tapped me lightly and sent a telepathic message through our mind link that I snapped back to reality."Kavan, you need to focus," Jason's voice echoed in my mind. "The council is discussing important matters."Blinking away the remnants of my daydreams, I turned my attention to Leo, his brows furrowed in irritation. Realizing my lapse, I cleared my throat and asked him to repeat his statement. Leo let out an
Kavan Jason and I went quickly through the palace's labyrinthine halls after the heated council meeting. The day's debates weighed heavily on my shoulders, yet a flicker of resolve blazed inside me and I needed a minute to gather my thoughts and resolve.I pulled through the old wooden door of my office, the creaking hinges disturbing the calm. Stepping inside, the space provided a haven away from prying eyes and judgemental gazes. The warm flicker of lighting produced dancing shadows on the walls, creating a peaceful environment that contrasted with the turmoil in my head.Jason's piercing gaze followed me as I moved further into the room, his eyes filled with curiosity."Kavan," Jason started, his voice concerned, "why were you so distracted during the meeting? Your thoughts appeared to be elsewhere,"I hesitated for a time, my gaze probing his face. How could I explain the never-ending thoughts that were starting to devour my every waking moment? "Take a guess, my friend," I sa
Kazia A whirlwind of emotions coursed through me as I stood impatiently in front of the pet quarters. Meeting Iris had given me a glimpse of hope and piqued my interest in Murad's pets. It was time to break out from my self-imposed solitude and start interacting with others for my own good. The door stood in front of me, separating the comfortable bounds of my isolation from the possibilities that lurked on the other side. I took a deep breath and pushed the door open, bracing myself for what could possibly happen and how I would be received. My eyes examined the familiar yet strange surroundings as I went into the passageway. This wasn't my first time here, but the last time I was here, I was still fresh to the notion of being a pet, and looking around wasn't something that piqued my interest. The pet's quarters alone were unexpectedly larger than I had anticipated, with separate rooms allotted to each pet, guaranteeing a sense of seclusion; as a result, I had only caught glimps
Kazia As we walked through the dimly lit corridors, my heart pounded in my chest, with anxiety coursing through my veins. I followed the enigmatic woman closely, my steps tentative and my expression etched with fear. The fact that I was being brought beyond the Pet's quarters without Murad's permission further added to my anxiety. I wasn't sure whether following along with this woman was the correct thing to do while knowing that I may get in big trouble. Finally, after what felt like forever walking to an unknown destination, we arrived inside a room that was utterly unfamiliar to me, making me even more nervous. The lady pushed the door open, and I hesitantly stepped inside, my eyes scanning the room for any signs of danger, just in case something crazy was about to happen. Once we were inside, she locked the door behind us, leaving me feeling trapped and vulnerable to whatever the lady in front of me could do to me. We walked in further and then she motioned for me to ta
Kazia Lady Agrippina's gaze lingered on me, her eyes moving from my head to my feet, studying me intently. The silence between us grew heavy, and I found myself growing more curious about the reason behind this private meeting. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, she spoke."Kazia dear, you are correct about there being a reason I brought you to this room," Lady Agrippina said, her voice carrying a hint of solemnity. "When I arrived in front of the lounge, I overheard Portia speaking ill of you, and I noticed the reactions of some of the other pets weren't exactly pleasant either. The atmosphere wasn't welcoming, and even though I usually don't get involved in such petty matters, I didn't quite like the negative energy toward you," she explained. Her words caught me off guard cause I hadn't expected that a person like Lady Agrippina would want to intervene on my behalf. The fact that she had overheard the disparaging remarks from Portia and seemed genuinely bothered by th
