Chapter Fifty Six

Third-Person Pov

In the opulent chambers of the Silver Dawn pack's castle, Agrippina, the Luna, paced restlessly. Her heart pounded with a mixture of guilt and satisfaction as she thought about Kazia, the pet of her mate, Murad, lying weak and sick in the infirmary. It had been her doing, and she couldn't help but revel in the fact that her plan seemed to be working.

Unable to contain her curiosity, she called for Nancy, her loyal servant, hoping for an update on Kazia's condition.

"Nancy," she said, her voice tinged with false concern, "how is Kazia faring?"

Nancy, ever the obedient servant, bowed slightly before replying, "She's slowly getting better, My Lady, but she still looks quite horrible."

Agrippina's lips curled into a sinister smile at the news. She had orchestrated the poisoning, making sure that Kazia suffered just enough to keep her away from Murad's sight. The last thing she wanted was for him to feel any sympathy for the pet he had claimed as his own.
