Willow POV I don't miss how Osiris's eyes darken as he looks at me in nothing but a towel. Holding the towel just above my breasts, I stand up and run just the tips of my fingers along his collar. I am careful to ensure that my hand's palm doesn't touch his skin. But I have to admit that it is tempting. I have never wanted to dive into someone's mind more than I want to dive into Osiris's. Something about him has piqued my curiosity, and I cannot shake it. I want to know everything about him: secrets and all. Before I get too brazen and touch him, I drop my hand to my side and try to slide past him. But Osiris isn't going to let me go that easily. Grabbing my wrist, Osiris rips the towel away from my chest, and it falls to the ground. I ball up my hands to protect my palms while Osiris pins me to the wall with my hands above my head. "Please, don't make me head butt you," I groan, trying to ignore the fact that my body is exposed before him. Osiris doesn't speak. He on
Osiris POV I don't know what I thought was going to happen when I touched Willow's hand. I thought maybe her blue eyes would begin to glow, and I would feel some sort of power exchange between us. But that is not what happened. I don't know why I expected the experience to be different than what I saw in the elevator, but I did. I expected it to be some intimate experience between the two of us. For some reason, I thought whatever was exchanged between us would make her realize I am her mate. When I finally managed to slide my finger under hers, Willow's eyes rolled back in her head, and her body went rigid. I panicked. I laced my fingers with hers and just held her hand for several minutes. I kept waiting for her to wake up. Tears rolls down her cheeks as I held her hand. It was then that I realized holding her hand wasn't going to help her wake up any faster. Pulling my hands away from hers, I let out a hopeful sigh when I see her eyes begin to flutter open. Her eyes
Willow POV Osiris steps out of the closet, and I suddenly feel grossly underdressed. He is in a black suit with a light blue shirt underneath. The first few buttons of his shirt are undone, giving me a peek at the tattoos that cover his chest. He looks delicious, and I know that I am staring. But no matter how hard I try, I cannot take my eyes off his imposing form. "Are you ready?" He asks as he looks me up and down. "Since you wouldn't let me get my bag out of my car... yes, I am ready," I grumble under my breath. Even though this whole mate thing is a rouse, I would like to make a good impression on the rogue colony. I want them to accept me as one of their own. I need them to trust me so I can figure out what is going on behind the scenes, and I am not sure I can do that in the outfit that I have on. "You mean this bag?" Osiris says with a smirk. "How?" I begin, but Osiris cuts me off. "The how isn't important," he says quickly. "Just hurry up and find something a
Willow POV Stepping out of Osiris's car, I cannot believe what I am seeing. We are in a small town in the middle of Nowhere, Colorado. I was excepting a ghost town. I was not expecting to see the hustle and bustle of people coming and going. Shops are brightly lit with open signs out front. Children run up and down the streets giggling, dragging silver and blue balloons behind them. I stop in my tracks when I look at the literal town square. In the middle of all the shops, restaurants, and offices, there is a large open area with a massive clock in the middle. The whole town square has been decorated with balloons and flowers. Everything is silver and blue. There is a large gathering of people amassed at the clock as if they are waiting for some important announcement. Looking down at my dress, I realize the blue under the lace is the perfect shade to match the decorations. A memory flashes through my mind. "Mom," I say in a small voice. "We should return the dress. I
Willow POV At Osiris words, speakers are wheeled out of the shops, tables are set up around the edges of the town square, and delicious desserts are placed on the tables. Loud music begins to play, and everyone starts mingling and filling their plates. I stand on the stage in silence as I watch the members of the rogue colony joke and laugh with one another. Couples, both young and old, have stepped onto the makeshift dance floor. It is a party, unlike anything I have ever seen before. "Are you ready to meet your new pack?" Osiris whispers next to my ear, causing me to jump. "I... I don't know," I answer honestly. "I have never mingled before." Osiris laughs at my admission. "You are the daughter of the Princess. Surely you have gone to parties before." Not taking my eyes off the people enjoying themselves, I shake my head no. "I was never invited to the events. Mother stopped going when she realized I wouldn't be accepted into Lycan City as one of their own. Father only went out
King Faris POV I walk into the royal mansion that has been passed down through the generations of Lycan Kings. It is late, and all of the Omegas have since retired for the night. My footsteps echo as I walk through the empty mansion. But it wasn't always this way. The mansion used to be full of lycans and werewolves all hours of the day and night. But that was when my mate, Kayla, was still around. That is when things were still normal. It was before a league of assassins were killing in my name and before I began running Chow through the books of the City's businesses secretly. I go to the kitchen to find my dinner in the fridge. It was left for me by one of the Omegas. Placing the plate in the microwave, I sit at the bar and pour myself a glass of whiskey. It is something that Kayla would have pitched a fit over, but without her here, her rules no longer matter. I hear the soft padding of footsteps coming from behind me, and I don't have to turn around to see who it i
Osiris POV As I dance with the little girl on my feet, I can feel everyone's eyes on me. More specifically, I can feel Willow's eyes on me. Glancing up, I look toward the playground and see Willow watching me with a smile. Only this smile differs from the fake one she has had plastered on her face since she got here. This smile makes her cheeks rosy, and her eyes sparkle. She is definitely enjoying watching me dance with this little girl. I look down at the little girl, and she gives me a sheepish smile. "I know you didn't want to dance with me," she says quietly. I chuckle at her honesty. "What makes you say that?" "Because you keep looking at the new Luna," she says quietly. "Do I?" I play stupid. The little girl nods her head up and down quickly. "You do," she says as she steps off my feet and runs away. I feign heartbreak as the little girl runs away from me and whispers something in Willow's ear. She turns to me with a giggle before running off to find her friends. As if i
Celeste POV "Cordelia," I gasp out in shock. "What have you done?" Cordelia rubs her hand over her tiny round stomach and smiles at Petra and me. "I did what needed to be done," Cordelia answers happily. "We needed a fourth." "Who is the father?" I demand to know, even though I fear the worst. "There is no father," Cordelia says with her head held high. "You can't be serious," I yell at Cordelia. "Please tell me that you didn't summon the dark side of our magic to create a child." "What would you have had me do?" Cordelia shrieks. "Sleep with some random human and hope for a child with powers. This way, we will know she has powers." Petra groans at my side, and panic fills my senses. Our sister has done the unthinkable, and now we must do our best to hide it from the rest of the world. *** "She can't stay here any longer," Petra says as she bounces Seraphina on her lap. Seraphina giggles loudly as Petra plays with her. She doesn't realize we are arguing over h
