The rest of the discussion was done by Logan and Michael while Brendon sat quietly on his chair, puffing on his cigarette and thinking about Eva. He couldn't get her out of his head even when they were discussing such important plans.

Chief notices Brendon not interested in behaviour and whispers near him," Are you missing your wife?"

" I'm not married," Brendon's straightforward answer shocked the Chief. Chief was thinking that Brendon would not hear his question because he was so busy with thoughts but indeed Brendon was attentive.

" I don't have a girlfriend because she never accepted me in the first place."
