CAMILLE'S POV

I turned to Dimitri. Had he deceived me? Sure, the revelation would not have changed a lot of things, but he had led me on. Why didn't he mention it, I wondered.

"Well?" Milana jerked me out of my thoughts.

I looked at her. She was on edge. Her eyes were red and bulging from their socket. She looked different from the woman I saw when I walked into the lounge of the castle the very first time.

Then I turned back to Dimitri, who looked like the light had been drained from his soul. The jarring sight of sunken eyes and the frustration peeking behind his perfect mask of indifference caused a memory to burn into my mind.
