It had been about six months since Symphony’s birthday. Gavin had made sure to train with her every afternoon and she was getting really good. They doctor had given her all clear to resume all her normal activities and was pleased that everything had healed properly. Symphony had decided to finish off the remainder of her school time at home, this way she could not only keep up with her schoolwork but also train daily. Alexander had agreed with her decision. Things had returned to normal around the house. There had been no looming threats that anyone had detected. Fiona had managed to bite her tongue off during one of Alexanders interrogations, so she was of no use anymore, but he still kept her in the dungeons as a precaution. He still wasn’t convinced about her story, but Damion was still digging.Symphony had started showing more of her abilities that her wolf possessed. She had strength that outmatched Rex, she had her speed which was faster than Dax, and the newest one was h
While waiting for Damion to find out what he knew about Lycans, and mates Alexander was still trying to avoid Symphony. She knew something was up though when she walked into the kitchen and he was sitting at the table and he abruptly got up and walked away. She tried talking to Gavin about it but he didn’t seem to notice anything different about Alexander’s behavior. She thought she was losing her mind. She kept up with her studies and her training trying to focus on anything to keep her mind busy. After training that afternoon, she had a thought to catch Alexander in his office and ask him what his problem was. She went inside and looked for him in the usual spots that he would be and when he wasn’t there she knew he was in his office. She would have normally knocked and waited to be let in but this couldn’t wait and she didn’t want to give him the chance to ignore her. She barged right into his office, determination written across her face.“Why are you avoiding me” Symphony ask
When Damion finally got ahold of Alexander three days later, he had some peculiar news for him. From what he had found out there has only been one other case of a Lycan having a mate and that was Centuries ago. From what he gathered this Lycan had wanted ultimate power and the only way her could get that power was by killing a very special wolf, like Symphony, but the moon goddess couldn’t let that wolf line die out so she made them mates so she would be protected. They weren’t very in tune with the idea at the beginning but eventually made it work for the sake of their people because if they had rejected each other the moon goddess swore it would be the end of both of their species. It seemed that history was repeating itself. Alexander took little comfort in this fact. Symphony had told him once that the moon goddess visited her while she was held captive, but she didn’t say anything about their species ending if they rejected each other.Damion had also said that the Lycan had d
It had been a little over a week since Alexander told Symphony what he had found out about them being mates. He barely saw her or heard anything from her. She was avoiding him. He knew she was upset about the whole thing, and he didn’t blame her. He would find out how she was doing by asking Gavin after their training sessions. Gavin told him that she must be pissed because over the course of the week her punches had been getting harder and he had to literally yell at her to get her to stop training when their time was up. Alexander had Damion looking for a way around the rejection while he investigated it from his end. There had to be some way around them dying if they rejected each other. Although the more he looked and found nothing the more frustrated he became. He just wanted Symphony to at least talk to him again. Another week had passed, and the day of Symphony’s eighteenth birthday was fast approaching. Alexander was hoping to find some answers for her before her birth
The day of Symphony’s birthday was finally here. She couldn’t believe that she was finally eighteen. She wasn’t expecting much in the way of a party because of everything that had been going on. She got up, took a shower, got dressed in leggings and a baggy shirt, and went downstairs to fix herself something to eat before she started on her daily schoolwork. She heard a few vehicles pull up the drive but didn’t think anything of it, she figured Alexander had meetings today. As she grabbed her food and headed back upstairs, she caught a glimpse of Alexander as he was heading out of his office. She didn’t really know what to say to him, so she hurried back upstairs before he saw her. Little did she know that he had a huge surprise for her eighteenth birthday.Alexander knew that she was downstairs, he could smell her. He smiled to himself. He knew that she had heard the cars pull up. He had hired a few people to decorate the ballroom for her birthday party. He had also invited a f

A few days later Symphony was training with Gavin and the uneasy feeling came back. It had distracted her enough that Gavin was able to perform a sneak attack on her and she missed it and hit the ground hard. When she got up, she scanned the area and didn’t see anything.Gavin noticed her distraction and questioned her about it. She told him about the uneasy feeling that she was getting again, and he told her to go see Alexander and tell him. He also told her that they were done with training for the day as he was going to go on a run to check the perimeter. She headed inside and was met with the smell of peppermint. Alexander must be in the kitchen for the smell to be that strong. She let her nose lead her.Sitting at the table was Alexander, she had been right. He looked up at her with a smile.“Done with training already?” He asked.“Yeah, Gavin told me come in because I was distracted by the same uneasy feeling that I had at the party. He said he was going to check things out
While the threat of the rogue alpha still loomed over Alexander and Symphony, they decided that it was best to hold off on the mating ceremony. As much as they both wanted to get it over with, they were worried that it would lead to disaster. The rogue alpha was still adamant that he wanted Symphony and would stop at nothing to have her. Gavin reported that he was slowly gathering numbers at his post and was worried that he would send them to get Symphony. Alexander had been waiting for the Alpha to make a move. He was ready for a fight. Symphony had tried her best to keep a calm head about everything, but being able to feel all of Alexander’s emotions, it made it hard. He was all over the place emotionally. She tried to focus on her schoolwork. Gavin had canceled training until the issues were resolved. While everyone was focused on what to do about the rogue alpha, he was coming up with his own plan.Jaxon knew that everyone would be on high alert once he started calling in reinfor
Over the next five days, everyone was preparing for the ritual that was needed to get Symphony's wolf back. Alexander, Damion, and gaven made sure everything was in order. Damion had been into contact with his friend that was going to prreform the ritual and confirmed that he would be there. Alexander was beside himself. he knew what needed to be done and that it meant that there was a chance for Symphony to come back to him. he was tired of seeing her just a shell of herself. he knew that she wasn't eating like she should and he also knew that if she didnt get Sarlett back soon it would kill her.As the night of the fith day approached things were placed outside by the alter. Alexander brought Symphony down and order that all pack members stay away from the pack house. The only ones that were there wer Symphony, Alexander, Damion, and Gavin along with Damions' frind Marcus. They all gathered around and Symphony laid on the table that sat between them. If she was scared she didnt show
As the days turned into weeks no one had been able to figure out how to get Symphony’s wolf back. Day by day she was getting worse. She had stayed in her bedroom, she spent most of her time crying. She had stopped receiving visitors, and the only one allowed to see her was Alexander. She was spiraling into a deep depression that she couldn’t get out of. She had tried to get the moon goddess to show herself to see how she could make amends with her and get Starlett back, but it wasn’t working. She wished that she could go back and unsay what she said. She knew that the guys were worried about her, and she felt bad about that but what was she supposed to do? She was worthless without her wolf. Alexander had even tried to get her to go walk through the garden with him a few times, but she refused. She stayed in her room and sat in complete darkness. He wanted to help her, but he didn’t know how. He sent Gavin and Damion up a few times to talk to her, but she wouldn’t even open the door
The next day, Alexander called the meeting for Symphony. She sat on the couch in between Alexander and Gavin, Damion sat across from them with one of the men that had been fighting next to her.Alexander had told him what was going on with Symphony and hoped he would be able to shed some light on the situation. He left out the part about her wolf though because that wasn’t his story to tell. The soldier had told Symphony everything that he could remember about the fight. Everything that she had previously heard from the other three men sitting next to her. She was able to remember some of it but not all. After the soldier finished telling her what had happened, he was dismissed.Damion and Gavin looked at each other and then to Alexander and Symphony, even they didn’t know what was going on.“I think it’s time we tell you what is going on.” Alexander said looking at Symphony. She nodded before she began speaking. She took a deep breath before telling them what was happening.“It seem
It had been a week since Symphony had woken from her coma-like state, and she was still trying to piece her memories back together. She had been trying to make a connection with Starlett as well but with no luck. The only good thing that happened this past week was her getting her voice back. She had been checked over by the doctors and they told her that everything seemed normal. She hadn’t really spoken to Alexander much since she woke up. She had been kind of avoiding him. She knew that he had told her everything that had happened before she fell into whatever state she was in, but she felt like he was leaving something out. Even after reading his journal, she felt that way. She didn’t like that feeling. Damion and Gavin had come to visit her every day and even they seemed like they were hiding something from her. She knew if they were it was because Alexander told them to keep quiet, so she didn’t blame them. Alexander had moved his desk out of their room and was now working in
Three months had now passed since Symphony had fallen into her coma like state. Alexander moved her from her hospital room to their bedroom in the new house that he had built. He made an office in his room to be by her side daily. He never let anyone in unless it was the doctors, he even shut Damion and Gavin out. He was slowly slipping into madness waiting for her to finally wake up.Several days later he though he saw her move her hands and immediately called the doctors in. They checked her over and came to the conclusion that he was seeing things. Well, a few days later Alexander saw her hand move again, this time he didn’t call the doctors until he was sure about what he saw. He sat and stared at her hand for hours before it moved again, and her eyelids started to flutter. This time he called the doctors and explained to them what he saw. This time when they checked her over, she moved her hand again and slowly opened her eyes. Everyone drew in a breath as she looked around confu
While Alexander waited for Symphony to wake up, he had men rebuilding his house that was destroyed. He wanted to have it done when Symphony woke up, he didn’t want her to be stuck in the safe house. He checked in with the doctors every day and even though she was strong and had no major injuries she was still in a catatonic state. The doctors couldn’t figure out why. Alexander had guards posted outside of her room and surrounding the hospital, he didn’t want any surprises. He went to visit her every day and brought her flowers so she would have something nice to look at when she woke up. When he wasn’t at the hospital, Damion or Gavin were there keeping an eye on her.Everyone was hoping she would wake up soon, as Alexander was slowly losing his mind with her in the hospital. He even went as far as letting the doctors take her home so she would have familiar surroundings when she woke up. That was denied though as the doctors didn’t even know why she hadn’t woken up yet.Alexander tri

Please be advised this will be the only chapter that goes into detail about the war between Jaxson and Alexander. Hope you enjoy and continue reading. *With the day almost over Jaxson and his men made there way to Alexander’s kingdom. The moon was just starting to show itself, it was fitting the moon was as red as blood. There would be a lot of bloodshed tonight that was one thing everyone could count on.When they reached the border, they were met by an army of guards, they knew that Alexander’s men had been tipped off by Symphony. Jaxson’s men ran through the guards like they were butter. They brutally attacked the guards, tearing them limb from limb. They slit their throats and left blood everywhere. They took the heads of the guards and put them on spikes. They lit fires and burned the rest of the body parts. This was a warning of what wa
While Symphony and Alexander lay in bed snuggled together, back at the cabin Jaxon was seething with fury. He had lost his wild card, his secret weapon, his queen. He thought his men would catch up to Symphony before she got to the river. She was faster than he thought. She was also smarter than he gave her credit for, using the river to hide her scent. He needed a new plan to get her back, he needed her for his plan to work. She was the key to take over the kingdom from that Lycan. As he sat in the cabin trying to make up a new plan to get her back, his men were outside grumbling about how they lost their queen.Jaxson wasn’t sure if she went back to Alexander or if she was still hiding somewhere. He knew if she had gone back to Alexander, she would have told him everything, but in the same sense if she had done that she wasn’t that smart after all. She would bring war to Alexander’s doorstep within the day if she went back. He was going to have his men search the forest on the othe
Symphony had rested until morning and when she was sure the coast was clear she headed back out. She assumed that Jaxon and his men had given up their search for her and that the people from Grey Moon Pack were gone as well. She looked up at the sky and noticed that the sun was just rising. She checked in with Starlett to see how she was doing and to Symphony’s surprise she was back. Starlett told Symphony to let her take over, and she would get them back to Alexander. She shifted and Starlett took off.Starlett knew how to get back to Alexander and Dax, because of them being mates. She was running as fast as she could and told Symphony that they would be back to them within a few hours. She was not sure who was more excited to see them, her, or Starlett. It was about midday Starlett slowed down as she was almost at her destination. She could still smell the smoke in the air. Her heart broke at the fact that she would no longer have her home.About a half hour later she stood at the r
