I threw my head back and laughed, wheezing out, "You can't be serious, Lan!"

His eyes glinted with amusement, then they slowly sobered. "I like it when you say my name."

After a beat of silence, my voice turned suggestive and I snapped my teeth at him playfully. "Bet you like it even better when I scream it."

A pause. A small smile teased Lan's lips. On a low note he said, "You just used bet twice in a sentence. . .and that's two letters short of butt."

My laughter sharply cut through the room and I slapped his hard chest. "I really don't understand your fascination with butts."

"Well then," he said lowly, sliding a rough hand under my shirt. "You must understand my fascination with yours." He splayed his hand over my ass cheek, softly kneading it.

With a roll of my eyes, I chuckled. Lan, I realized during the past eight hours we spent goofing around on the living room floor, was insufferably cheeky when he wanted to be. A part of me wondere

awaynext day, Lan was cold.As warriors trooped into the cabin to heft out hunting equipments, he turned to lock expressionless eyes on me just as I emerged from the room with my travel bag, back in my ugly grey gown.He said in a tone lacking of emotion, "Is that everything?"Something in me stung. I did not expect him to speak kindly to me in the presence of his men, and I knew if we were to continue what we had here in the castle, it'd be done behind closed doors, away from the eyes of his people. I'd be his dirty little secret. Something in my stomach twisted.I should have more self respect than to agree to be someone he would be ashamed to show in front of his people. I should. Sucking in a breath, I pasted a smile on my face and replied, "Yes, Your Highness."His jaw clenched imperceptibly. If I'd thought he was merely being cold to me due to his men being in the same vicinity as us, I was wrong. In the solace of his car, he didn't sp

The room was quiet when I got in. Syb briefly removed her attention from her phone to shoot me a glance. Then after a beat, she looked back at me, doing a double take."You're back," she said."It appears."There was a stretch of silence. Walking over to my bedside, I dropped my bag down and sat on the narrow bed, taking off my shoes.Syb cleared her throat. "Miss Angela asks of you every day."My heart seized. Pushing down the panic starting to rise in my gut, I said indifferently, "Really?""Yes.""Then I'm sure you told her my whereabouts."There was a pause. "If by whereabouts you mean your brief exile, then yes."I blinked. "What?"She sighed then placed her headphones back over her ears. "Covered up for you. Try to keep up, dummy."Shock travelled through me. Then my brows creased. Why the hell would she do that? Even knowing she couldn't hear me, I said slowly, "Thank you..."After a moment, I

That night, I waited until the whole castle had fallen silent before throwing away the duvet covering my already dressed form.Climbing down my bed, I brushed a hand over my dark jeans and black turtle neck shirt that hid my magic restraint. I slipped into my shoes and quietly made my way over to Syb's corner. Grabbing a flashlight, I made a mental note to return it.Then I slipped into the empty hallway.Tonight I was going down the secret passage. With that thought, I slinked down the hallway, keeping close to the walls. After a while of tediously navigating through the massive castle, I came across an elevator. Quickly, I went over to it, keeping an eye out for the lycan warriors on night duty. Cramming in, I pressed a button to the top floor. The ride up was silent and nerve wracking, and all through it, my heart pounded a nervous best in my ears.Once the doors dinged open, I rushed out. Then came to an immediately halt when the lengthy barrel of a rifle was positioned before me

He dragged me across the hallway and over to a narrow door. Throwing it open, he pulled me into the small room roughly, slamming the door shut.I raced back to it, but he caught me around my nape, pulling me forcefully so that my eyes we level with his. He asked quietly, "Who the f*ck is he?"Twisting out of his hold, I gritted out, "You have some...f*cking nerve, don't you, asshole?"His hold tightened and he growled into my face, his eyes burning brighter. "I asked you a question, Willow."Drawing my leg back, I kicked him in the shin. As pain shot through my leg, I scampered away once his hold loosened, my breaths growing heavy. "Oh, it's Willow now?"He made a wild swipe for me, catching air as I bent underneath his muscled arm. The sound of items crashing down to the cramped floor met my ears. When I dashed for the door again, he caught my arm with a growl. He pulled me to stand before him. He gripped my jaw painfully and bent level with me, spelling out slowly, "You won't see hi

The flashlight in my hand felt cold and heavy for some reason, could be because my hands were clammy, and this drew to attention how nervous I was.My stomach pulled into knots as I slinked down the silent halls, hiding behind the tall white pillars at certain intervals--when an omega passed by, when a court of elders trooped across the hall, or when a fully changed lycan growled and grunted down the stairwells.Shadows moved on the red carpets of the dark hall. Looking up, I saw it was a product of the wind shaking the chandelier above. Focusing on the empty space before me, I made to turn left into another hallwa--"...Yes, although the nature of it all's still unknown.".A snarl. "It has to be those infidels. It has to."Paling, I pressed against the wall, my heart pounding against my ribcage. If the warriors were to turn around now, they'd see me flat against the wall, hands splayed on the white walls.Time seemed to go on forever,

Silence stretched the air.Quietly I closed the door behind me and stepped into the room. "I..." I cleared my throat once my voice came out in a croak. "I-I had to see someone..."His eyes went feral. "Who?"Affecting a nonchalant tone, I started to walk past him. "Someone." Was all I said. His harsh grip around my arm halted me. When he stepped closer to me, the smell of wood and leather filled my nose. He said quietly, "I thought I told you to stay away fro--"Sharply I held up a hand, suddenly feeling overwhelmed. "Stop... Just--stop. I thought I'd made it clear to you, Lan. I will see whoever the hell I want t--Look." I inhaled. "I... I want to be with someone who isn't ashamed of me, someone who doesn't despise my entire species. If you're not ready to be that person." I sighed, tired down to my bones. "Then please leave."A pause.Something in me stung when his hold around my arm loosened. He stormed out of the room.

That night, I went up to meet a bowl of grapes at my bedside table. Before drifting up to sleep, I popped a few into my mouth. The sound of seagulls squawking filled my ears. A twig snapped behind me and I turned, seeing Tabitha.Face drawn, she asked, "Did it open this time?"A dark feeling descended over me. My throat clogged and I stared at Tabitha, willing my tongue to produce words."Well?"I averted my gaze. "W-well..."Her voice thinned with worry and she searched my gaze. "Come on, Willow, say something."A variety of emotions fought for dominance within me. My eyes stung. When I made to talk, she peered at me closely, then asked on a vaguely suspicious note, "Are you okay, Willow?""Y-yeah. Why not?"Still looking at me, she said, "So I asked a question, did you find the correct combination to the lock?"What was wrong with me. The witches were on their way. That thought caused my heart to speed up, a shiver of dread sliding down my spine. I inhaled a calming breath. I had set everything into motion, I'd be damned if I backed out of the ride now.I picked at the material of my duvet. One day left. One day, and I hadn't figured out a way to get this f*cking restraint off. I needed my powers.Standing, I paced the empty room, going over to the dresser to glower at the reflection of the metal in question. The last rays of the evening sun glinted off it.Grabbing the front clasp with both hands, I tried to force it open. Not stopping until my palms were ridden with reddish welts. Hi, guys. So this is a wrap up on all the potential spinoffs!♥ Please comment below on which one you liked better and would like to read. . Annnddd, about the ending of The lycan king, here it goes: in chapter 64, Cordelia asks Willow, "Do you think evil truly ever goes away? Ever dies?" To which Willow says, "I don't know." Cordelia's reply after that is, "No, it lives on in our memories." There you have it. Dmitri only 'lives' in Willow's memories. Literally. He only exists there because as a downside to Willow's powers, she forms a connection with anyone whose memories she's ever looked into. Only when she's strong enough and has total control over her powers can she break it. So much for my cliffhanger. So, guys, thank you all so much for reading! It means a lot. And if you enjoyed it please, please, pleassee with a drop of hot lava and some basalts: leave a honest review and star rating in the main page. See you in the next book!

Chapter 1.[Dedicated to Sonic Tails, Anita.E and ♥Evihan♥] _ (CORINNE) It's been three hundred and seventy days, eight thousand eight hundred and eighty hours, and an infinite amount of seconds since my roommate disappeared. Which meant it was three hundred and seventy days since I knew I could even count. And that much amount of days since anyone around here paid me any attention. They were too busy sulking over Hellene's disappearance, and my birthday was f*cking tomorrow. Going down the stairs, the satisfying click of my red bottoms reached my ears, along with the quiet, dread-filled whispering slinking around the coven. Goddess. The witches acted as if someone had died! Well, I was going to if everyone kept ignoring me. I ventured into the gold hall, which was easily the most beautiful room in our New Orleans coven. "I'll think about it..."Corinne, my roommate and a witch in the same coven as me, squealed and hurried out of the sunny room in a flurry of designer clothes and expensive heels.Maren, another one of my caste-witches, came in at that moment, chuckling quietly. "You shouldn't always give in to Corinne's demands, you know?""Her ceaseless begging would make a coven eunuch beg for quiet.""Eunuchs are deaf.""Exactly my point."She chuckled again, walking into the mostly empty room. "Still, Hell, don't. Corinne's like a parasite. Once she sees you're a perfect enough host, she strikes. With Willow gone, you're the youngest in the coven now and she's exploiting that fact perfectly." She finished with a smile, "But not under my watch."I pushed a stack of empty cartons over to my bed. A/N Hi, guys! So I'm having a massive writer's block (okay, it's not writer's block as much as it's an overflow of ideas). I don't know whose book to continue as a spinoff. I have so many story ideas based off each character. (and no, my loves, I won't "just write all of them" because there are so many other book projects I have going on). So here's what I'm going to do. Everyday I'll post a chapter from each potential spinoff and I'll leave it to you to decide which one you think I should continue. Annnndd, about the ending of The Lycan King, if you read through these chapters, it will be explained. Contrary to what you believe, it does have an ending. And the clue to finding out whether or not Dimitri's 'real'--and if Willow and Lan would have their happily ever after (finally)--is at least ten chapters back. But I'll relieve you of the detective hat and explain it all in the final chapter. So read on! Alright, so the first potential book spinoff is Aradia's (One of the witche

[A YEAR LATER] __ I woke up with a smile on my face. The space beside me was empty but warm, and I rolled over to inhale Lan's delicious scent. I supposed he was downstairs making sure everything was set for tomorrow. I should join him. Exhaling, I got off the bed and started towards the bathroom, yawning as I went. Water bursted out of the shower, rousing me up completely. Scrubbing a hand down my face, I looked around. The massive, marbled space never ceased to amaze me. In fact, every part of the luxurious house never did. Lan and I had bought a mansion at a secluded part of Chicago. A place that was near Gornagon though. And it was magnificent. Washing my hair with shampoo, I exhaled in content. Everything was magnificent. I was at final year of fashion school and already, in my repertoire: were a few collaborations I'd done with reputable fashion houses. I was expecting, too. Lan and I were yet to check the gender of the baby, but we'd set a date to next week, and despite th

WILLOW__[A Week Later]Just as I closed the book on my desk, the door opened. Turning, I saw Meredith at the entrance. Her grey eyes regarded me softly and when she fully came in, I saw she held a tray in her hands.Drawing closer, she dropped the tray on my desk. The smell of pancakes filled my nose.Meredith ordered gently, "Have something to eat."Shaking my head, I pushed my chair away from the desk, rising. "I'm not hungry," I mumbled. When I started to turn away, she grabbed my hand. Her eyes turned serious. "What good would it do to Lan if he returns and sees you're determined to starve yourself to death?"Bloody feet dragging against hard concrete flashed across my mind, quickly followed by the sight of Lan's twisting form before he was beheaded. My throat tightened. "He's not coming back," I said, diverting my gaze from hers.Dropping my hand, she stepped back. Her eyes flashed. "And what if he isn't? Are you just going to abandon your responsibilities? You have a kingdom t

The rain threatening to fall had let up, and the sky had been cleared of every dark cloud by the time I went back to the battle field.Stopping above a hill, I took a moment to look at the crowd below. The witches and lycans that'd been under the influence of the elixir were now restored back to normal, their faces bright with tears, relief and happiness. The emotion that was most palpable was sorrow, for the people lost. My stomach knotted. I didn't think I would ever have it in me to feel happy again.Meredith was the first to notice me. Her face brightened. "Willow!" she yelled.Heads swerved around and soon a cheer rose up in the crowd, prompting me to come down the hill and walk over to the wide field. While I neared, Meredith noticed the bleak look in my eyes. Perhaps the rest did too because gradually, they quietened.Meredith drew closer to me, the rest of my caste witches in tow. Sybil stepped forward, a tentative smile on her face. For the first time since I've known her,

His boots clicked against the tiles as he slowly approached me. Chills slithered down my spine with each step he took and I found myself backing away. His low voice filled the room. "A little diviner prophesied about you two centuries ago. She said... you would destroy me. You." A little smile cracked his hard face, then it disappeared. "Do you know what I did to her?"He continued to prowl towards me and when my back touched the wall, I got spurred into action. A white energyball exploded out of my palms, heading straight for him.Hands at his back, he inclined away from the assault fluidly, never seizing in his stride towards me. "I had her killed," he continued as if I had not just attacked him. "There was tension between your kind and the lycans, so I decided to fuel it. What better way to do that than to strike where it hurts the most?"The image of Lan's mother flashed across my mind, bare of all her limbs, and I hurled another ball at him, shrieking, "You, animal!" He merely

WILLOW__The faces around me were cold, set.It was time. The atmosphere had darkened considerably, thunder rumbling off at a distance. The cave was filled with countless lycans and some had shifted, standing over nine feet tall with a build as wide and large as the tanks displaced outside. Witches around spent the last few minutes practicing their spells, their armour plates glinting against the residue of fiery hues from the cauldrons.Vials were passed around and when Tristan sounded the order, they turned it over their mouths. All around me, warriors, both witches and lycans, started to slowly disintegrate. The ever present dark feeling in my stomach intensified, rising to spread around my chest.Meridith shouldered her way through the diminishing crowd, advancing towards me. When she stood before me, she held my arm and brought her face closer to mine, saying in hushed tones, "Try to stay clear of the fight.
