Carla gives me a small smile. Her hazel eyes drop a little as she focuses on her hands. “I just thought you should know.”

“And I know you, Carla. You’re not exactly truthful. Long before you were mated to us, you were causing problems.”

“I shouldn’t have done that.” She sighs, “Look, I lost my friends too.” She turns to look at Blue. “I know you killed them or your wolf did which I don't fully understand, but it's all because of Quinn. I’m just saying, Ophelia is not telling you something.”

“What do you think?” I ask Blue.

“It won’t hurt to speak to her.” She shrugs her shoulders and the bed sheet that is wrapped around her slips a little. Her hands fumble to keep it hoisted up.
