Chapter 29: Our special Night

“What the hell were you doing out there?” I whimpered with my hands between my thighs when Zane’s alpha voice reverberated in my room.

He was angry and was pacing back and forth. My eyes followed his every move like a little girl who got scolding from her father.

“I’m sorry for making you worry, Zane! I thought you were the one who sent the note... I didn’t think it will be Max.”

Zane growled harshly before his eyes settled on me, briefly. His blue orbs lingered on my cheeks and they went dark when he saw the reddish mark on my cheek.

He bellowed and I could feel a dark deadly aura swirling in the room. It was almost suffocating.

Zane let out incoherent curses and walked to the mini fridge in the room before he strode towards me and knelt in front of me, between my legs.

He looked dead serious with no smile on his face. He examined my reddish mark and he pressed the cold compress on my cheek.

I yelped in pain and my eyes remained on his face. The skin on his forehead ceas
