THE BALL II

Both Ralph and Tyler were excited to see how Evelyn's wolf would turn out to be but after she stepped into the moonlight they did not see any wolf but instead her body dropped to the ground with her silver hair glittering the brightest.

Tyler could hear gasps round the hall but they were blur as he dashed faster than anyone there and faster than he had ever done in his life picking her up.

"No, he could not lose her for the second time." Tyler thought, a thought that flashed his head on an impulse but he didn't have time to think of why.

Tyler tried running towards the infirmary but Beverly blocked his way with a smirk on her face, he pushed her away without thinking twice and with the type of strength he never knew he had.

Rushing to the infirmary Tyler mind linked the doctor who is a friend of his, telling him to prepare a room for the Luna in advance that it is emergency.

As soon as Tyler got there and she was admitted to the pack hospital with immediate effect.

Tyler paced round the waiting room exceeding an aura that made every one tremble, he could hear them whisper towards themselves asking whether or not he is truly the pack weakest member but their complaints were the least of his problems for now, as all his attention was on Evelyn who is in the ICU, Tyler thought deeply about what could have made Evelyn faint instead of shifting to her wolf, it is indeed suspicious.

The Beta entered hurriedly along with the pack warrior leader and the Gamma they were asking the nurses were the Luna was admitted and she pointed towards the ICU direction and they all turned their head to see Tyler at the front of the door.

"What right do you have to be here?" The Gamma, Isaac said throwing his weight around as usual, as if not bothered by Evelyn's admission at all.

Tyler looked away from his direction because Ralph was in an unstable condition due to Evelyn's present condition and he could take control any moment from now and he himself could pounce on anyone who irritates him.

His main focus was to see Evelyn coming out alive from that room or else Tyler wouldn't know what he would do to anyone who provokes him.

"I'm talking to ...." Isaac was about to say before he was cut off by Jake, "what did the doctor say?" He asked with his voice laced with concern.

"Nothing, he has not even come out of the room since he entered there." Tyler replied trying to rein his anger in desperately, can this people not just give him space to think or what.

'Tyler, the Luna ingested wolfsbane that is why she fainted, So it is either someone is trying to kill the Luna or they don't just want her to shift into a wolf because it looks like she has been taking it for ages, It is like a slow poison and this was the final trigger to it, What should we do?' Mike the doctor mind linked Tyler informing him of Evelyn situation.

'Just treat her and make sure she's alright.' Tyler replied with a stern voice towards him and his cold look as he accessed the three men in front of him scrutinizing them, his gaze lingered on the Gamma lost in thought, could it be him?

Isaac is the only one who has something against Evelyn and he was even the head of the resistance, as if he was so sure she won't be able to shift into her wolf today "hey pup what ya looking at." Isaac said maintaining a battle stance, trying to provoke Tyler into a fight so that Tyler could be kicked out if the hospital.

"I would advice you not to call me that Gamma." Tyler said as he could feel his eyes flicking which is a sign Ralph is angry and is about to take over from him, Tyler closed his eyes trying to contain Ralph.

'Ralph it won't be hard if you behave I am trying to think here.' Tyler told him disapprovingly.

'They hurt my mate they must pay. 'Ralph roared in Tyler's head not wanting to back down.

' I know you're desperate for a mate trust me I am too but stop having silly ideas, she is not our mate' Tyler said exasperatedly and Ralph kept quiet after that.

'Mike tell everyone that the Luna's body was too weak and could not shift Into a wolf that why she passed out' Tyler told him of his idea.

' errrm I was just about to tell you the Luna is okay ...'

''Whoa great news but why did you sound dejected?' Tyler asked cutting Mike off almost immediately.

'Would you let me land.' Mike hissed angrily,

'sorry but please go straight to the point.' Tyler said as a matter of fact.

'Well she slipped into a Coma.' Mike finally dropped the bomb that shocked Tyler.

Tyler fell silent for a while trying to process what Mike just said 'sigh' just go ahead with the plan, if the assassin want her dead he would use this as a leverage to attack her at the weakest state, where the Luna is unable to protect herself or fight back in anyway and that is where we come in we are going to protect her with our life understood' Tyler said after much thought.

'Aye aye captain.'

They both discussed through mindlink, hoping the idea goes as planned and the assassin falls into their trap.

Mike came out and announced everything according to how Tyler told him , Jake was devastated at the news his adopted daughter is too weak to change into a wolf, thinking of how to break the news to his mate while the Gamma jubilated secretly at the outcome hoping he could turn some of the pack members into putting his daughter as the Luna while the Beta had a neutral reaction towards everything and went out quietly as I nothing happened....
