2 months later...

She folds the last dress and puts it on top of her suitcase with the rest of her clothes . With a heavy but happy heart, she zips the suitcase close and dropped it on the floor.

Looking around the room, Aurora didn't want to leave but it's what she decided because that’s what’s best for her. She doesn't belong here. She doesn't belong in the outside world. She belongs with her family and her kind—even if it meant she'll never get a mate. She'd rather be with her family and friends. She's safer there.

She slides open the door and stepped out to the balcony. The rain had stopped and what's left of it was the cold breeze and the smell of rain. She smiled, inhaling the scent—she loves the smell of rain.

She took steps towards the ledge and grabbed it as she looked down the street. She could spot the coffee shop. Her smile fades because she didn't even tell Ryan she was leaving. She couldn't find the bravery to tell him ever since they talked things through and they wer

She attached it to her body and twirled. "C'mon, I think this is it," she said persuasively, checking herself out in the mirror. "I'll wear that," Auburn says with a shrug. They've been in the shopping mall, buying stuff for Jim and Shannon's wedding. It's just three weeks left and they were just picking out the colors they were going to wear at the wedding. "Pink is beautiful," Aurora said, waving it off. She'd not been herself all day. She loves shopping but whenever she makes an attempt to do the slightest thing, Kendrix's face jerks up in her head and she gets a reverie of the phone call he answered when he pi

She steps out of the kitchen and lets out a long sigh. “Aurora.”She comes to a stop and looks at Auburn. “Yeah?”"Your face and hair are covered in flour." She smiled mockingly at her and took a mouthful of the freshly frosted cupcake. Aurora hurried to the dressing area and glanced in the mirror. She sighed and thanked Auburn for stopping her from acting like a fool in public. She cleaned her face and styled her hair before making a quick exit. “The apron." Auburn called out. Right on, right on. After pausing, she released the tie on the back. Before moving approaching the door, she seized it and hung it over her head. She became increasingly anxious as she neared the door. He finished his breakfast half an hour ago, so why did he just decide to return? When he could simply come back here and talk to his mother, why did she only refer to him as a visitor? Maybe he was afraid that if his mother

Aurora disregards this thoughts but it's so hard to especially seeing him walking towards them now. He's looking at her while he approaches them. He isn't smiling and he wasn't frowning either. Aurora lowered her gaze as she breathed out sharply. She raised her head and looked at Shannon again but she wasn't looking at her at the time. She was admiring herself in her weddings dress because she was getting married in half an hour. She was humming, slowly dancing while she twirled around. Aurora felt the smile wanting to escape her mouth—she lets it out. This is what she wishes for—to be happy about marrying the man waiting for her in the aisle. She hopes to be as happy as Shannon is right now or even more. "What's it like to be in love? I mean really in love?" Shannon looked at Aurora. She turned around to face Shanno

Shannon and Jim went off to their honeymoon two weeks after the wedding. Max was still around until he goes back to New York in a couple of days. She felt like going back with him because her life was a little less complicated other than her boss being obsessed with her. She hadn't seen Auburn since the wedding. Maybe Kendrix told her to stop coming here. But he can't stop her from doing what she wants. Maybe he can. Or maybe Auburn had realized what an awful person she is and how she'd treated her brother, and decided to end things between them also like she did to her brother. "You're over thinking things again, Aurora."Her breath hitched as she blinked back to reality. "What? Huh?" She mumbled, averting her gaze from the waterfall to Max. He chuckled and shook his head. Paraphrasing She remained in her room alone for the majority of the time. Even when Max knocked or her mother arrived, she never opened the door for them. She wished for some privacy so she wouldn't have to deal with her painful, stalking thoughts. Three days have passed since she got into that pointless argument with her father. It's been five days since she last saw Blake. When she begged him to listen to her, he froze to his feet and sent a distrusting glance her way. Some people might believe he's rude for ignoring her. However, they both told each other lies. It is irrelevant. It doesn't matter that he misled her about that one foolish fact. She kept several secrets from him, but she did it out of concern for his safety. When she stood up, a number of packets of chocolates and candy bars fell from her thighs. Everything came from a gift box Blake once gave her to keep on hand for times when she missed him or felt worried. She took two days to finish the entire box. She had no

He saw tears streaming from her eyes and wet her face. She’s beautiful. She should hear these words—everyday. Her eyes were like bright sunshine. Makes her face radiant, brilliantly shine. Her face was not carved, certainly not in haste. But slow—with patience and with grace. Sculptured, it shows. The words failed him. It failed him to tell her how much he loves her and how beautiful she was. His heart breaks to see her tears cascading down like that. It hurts him to hear her sob in the palm of her hands like that. She finally suppressed the tears and suck in a huge rush of air. It doesn’t do much to calm her but she slightly felt better. She raised her bloodshot eyes and settled on his. His eyes bore into hers and it’s the most enticing thing she’d ever seen. It’s pathetic how just a single gaze could make her vulnerable. She hates the she feels toward him.
